A first for Corrine and for me :)

After finishing Broken Dreams I’m left wondering if / when the true Corrine will show up. For the first time in all the years I’ve been an avid fan I actually laughed more than I ever have and didn’t shed a single tear. Needless to say I LOVED Broken Dreams but now I am terrified of the next book will bring.

🎧 Narration: i finished my arc & immediately had to listen to the audio after i heard a clip. it did not disappoint. sebastian york was absolutely perfect for grady. he was gruff but soft & he did an excellent job with the stern vibes during the spicy scenes 🔥 kit swann did a really nice job as addison. she did such a great voice for grady & the kids. overall the audio enhanced the book & i would recommend the audio.

oh gosh this one was a heart wrenching story premise but corinne (per usual) wrote it so well i felt so satisfied & happy with grady & addison’s love story. bonding over tragedy brought the two together & wanting to accomplish moving into the next step of their lives has the two hatching a fake dating plan that is supposed to be straight forward & easy. but these two just had too much chemistry for it to go according to plan 🤣 instead they slowly & deliciously go from friends to lovers to falling in love 😍. i adored this story & cannot wait for more visits to sugarloaf.

Story line

I love how the story captures your attention right away. I especially love the added scene at the end of the book.

One criticism

I don't like Kit Swann's male voice, and her imitation of children is annoying as well. Otherwise, it's a great listen. It's sexy, and also manages to be funny and thoughtful. Sebastian York is always a great narrator.

Loved it!

Another good story by this author. I haven't listened to one yet that I didn't enjoy. This one was no different. I did grt a little frustrated with the MMC and wanted to smack him upside the head and tell him to get over himself...but that's half the fun of these books is watching how the MCs evolve and finally come around. Performance was excellent. These two are some of my favorite narrators.

Great book

This one was really steamy! Storyline was good! I never pass up an opportunity to listen to Sebastian York narrate! If his name is in it I’m listening. The female narrator was also great. I don’t think I have listened to her before. I enjoyed this second book in the series!

Addison finds love again!!! (A slight spoiler)

I love how Corrine has managed to interwoven characters from all of her series! I had no idea that Devny was Emmets cousin, there’s always a cameo, or a mention of characters we’ve known and loved.

I’m glad that we find closure for Addison!!!! She truly deserved it! She comes alive in this book. Two mourners that become friends and build their relationship on trust and understanding. I’m not going to say anything else. It’s a beautiful story, I laughed and I cried.

Great storyline but

Liked the story and Sabastian York but Kit Swan kinda ruined it…found myself laughing during her narrative of the more steamy moments.

Finally Addison's story

I've been looking forward to Addison's story since the Rose Canyon series. I loved seeing everyone from that series make an appearance and show their support for Addison. When Addison and Grady first start their "pretend " relationship, they both decided that they didn't want to have a real relationship since they were both widowers with 3 year olds. This was a wonderful story. Listening to Sebastian York and Kit Swann was perfect to bring the book to life. I'm looking forward to the next book in this series.

Addison is my favorite!

I have liked all Corrine 's books but I think Addison is my favorite woman yet!! she is so funny and awkward and I adore it. I absolutely loved this couple, and their story.

my only "criticism" is that the narrators aren't super good with the children's voices. luckily they don't have too many lines. I LOVED Addison's narrator. she did an amazing job with all the emotions and inflections of her character. I'd love to hear her narrate another Corrine hit in the future.
