Story
Ancient evils lurk in the Western New York town of Oneka Falls, and they are hungry. Only three children have encountered them and lived. Psyches fractured, each child has survived as best they could - wrapped in fantasy, the comfort of amnesia, or the silence of isolation. When those evils intrude on their lives a second time, it sets a chain of events in action that can only end in destruction. But who will be destroyed, the children or the ancient evils that plague the town?

Story
Patrick and Clare wake up trapped in a basement, a thin wall separating their cells. Their captor is mysteriously absent, which at first seems like a blessing. As more time passes with no food or water, they begin to realize a clock is ticking for their survival. Combining their intelligence and determination, the two begin plotting an escape from their shared prison. Overcoming each obstacle only presents another obstacle standing in the way of their freedom. It will take all of their ingenuity and strength to find their way out of this mess.

STOP. You should not have touched this flyer with your bare hands. NO, don't put it down. It's too late. They're watching you. My name is David Wong. My best friend is John. Those names are fake. You might want to change yours. You may not want to know about the things you'll read on these pages, about the sauce, about Korrok, about the invasion, and the future. But it's too late. You touched the book. You're in the game. You're under the eye. The only defense is knowledge. You need to read this book, to the end. Even the part with the bratwurst. Why?

The operation takes less than two minutes. Luke will wake up at The Institute, in a room that looks just like his own, except there's no window. And outside his door are other doors, behind which are other kids with special talents - telekinesis and telepathy - who got to this place the same way Luke did: Kalisha, Nick, George, Iris, and 10-year-old Avery Dixon.

Publisher's summary
Special Agent Gavin Gregory returns in this spine-chilling sequel to Wrath Child!
The Bogeyman begins murdering young women in Miami, and Gavin Gregory, the elite FBI profiler who ended The Smith's reign of terror in Manhattan, catches the case. Try as he might, Agent Gregory can't wrap his rational mind around the crimes, after he discovers each victim has mutilated herself before delivering the killing blow.
Offering to help, Adeline d'Clara claims to be part of a secret government program designed to indoctrinate, cultivate, and train psychic assassins. What's more, she claims to know The Bogeyman comes from a small group of psionic men who can control other people remotely. When Gavin tries to validate her story, he runs into a brick wall - in the form of an order to drop the inquiry.
Can Adeline help Agent Gregory to guard his own mind from the killer's influence long enough to stop him?

All but one symptom, anyway. Something is wrong with Tess’ hands. They absorb any material they touch, and her skin turns to wood, steel, or concrete. It doesn’t take this comic book obsessed 21-year-old long to figure out what’s going on: somehow, she’s developed super powers. Phenomenal Dark Fiction
Black Bags is a suspenseful tale that combines the paranormal with a psychotic twisted plot that is well written and actually believable. The story6has multiple unexpected twist and turns that will take you on a rollercoaster ride that will haunt your dreams. I love that author Erik Henry Vick has such a devious and descriptive imagination that pulls you in and never let's you go. This is my honest unbiased review that I give of my own free will.

Black Bags
This was an excellent follow up to Wrath Child! It was creepy, made your skin crawl and aggravating ,which makes a good story.Deep under the desert is a facility that kidnaps children with certain abilities. If they suceed, you have a killer. If they fail...you have a serial killer.I felt like there were bits of Kings 'The Institute' and other books touched on.I enjoyed the nod to the King when Fry is trying to figure out what name is his real name. Kerr Lordygan was a fantastic narrator.I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.
