Beautiful story
I love the location of Door County WI, and the simplicity of a time before cell phones and computers. Bittersweet is the perfect title, and the characters seemed very real to me. Good outweighs bad, as in real life.

Right In The Feels
As always, LaVyrle Spencer writes so down to earth and realistically, I can imagine every scene and nuance of the story perfectly. This story could be a story that happens to anyone and that’s what makes it so compelling and wonderful.

Spencer paints beautiful images
Listening to this book was a true gift The author is not a word smith,but rather a WORD CRAFTER. I could smell the mold in the Harding House the first time. Only one criticism- the book was a tad too long.

Read if you like happy ending stories
Absolutely love this story from beginning to end it made me cry at the end, but it was a good ending. I love stories with good ending. You must check it out. I will definitely read other titles by this other next time I would give it a 10 out of 10 in the stars rating, I don’t normally like books that have kind of sad endings but I’m glad this one didn’t if you like happy endings at the end of your books you will enjoy this one for sure.
