Wonderful stories

Herriot's stories of the life of a country vet never cease to charm. Excellent narrator brings the stories to life.

So nostalgic, a real comfort listen!

Great story, I love all the details. You almost feel like you’re there. Makes me want to visit the Dales and eat Yorkshire pudding. 😊

The best of feel good books !

I have read all of the James Harriet books on audible. Nothing makes me feel more inspired to enjoy my life. The writing is clean, crisp, and delightfully sentimental. It’s a man happy with his life and sharing it. It is inspirational to enjoy what you have, and make the most of it. no books like these are written these days. Separately, the music, narration, and choice of tales is just delightful. Grab his books if you want to just be delighted and feel like you read some thing that made your life just a little bit better.a great stress reliever and these times of overly meaningful books.

Awesome!

The James Herriott books are all some of my all-time favorites. If you are looking for a "real" story that reads like fiction, but is based on this man's extraordinary life, you will thoroughly enjoy this book.

Just Wonderful

I grew up reading the Herriot books again and again. I never tired of the stories of the humans and animals the doctor met along the way, whether they made me laugh or cry. And the audiobook doesn't disappoint!
Christopher Timothy's narration is just plain amazing. The characters come to life and have made me enjoy the books in a whole new way. I've listened to all four and am heading on to the last one now. But I'm sure I'll be listening again.
Do yourself a favor and treat yourself to these wonderful stories!

Can't get enough.

If you could sum up The Lord God Made Them All in three words, what would they be?

Like great storytelling in a pub, told by the players involved. Could picture it all. Had me smiling, chuckling or outritght laughing.

What was one of the most memorable moments of The Lord God Made Them All?

Any of the veterinary treatments in the field and the interactions with the farmers...hilarious.

Have you listened to any of Christopher Timothy’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

Yes, he doesn't disappoint.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

Many.

Any additional comments?

I won't miss any other works by this author and narrator.

I Can Never Get Enough Of James Herriot's Stories

I have loved the James Herriot collection for years and am now ecstatic to have it on my iPod. All his stories elicit a 'feel good' feeling for the listener with his brilliant writing and subject matter. Add Christopher Timothy's ability to make it all come to life in audio and you've got a winning combination over all.
