Just lovely!
I have so enjoyed the entire James Herriot series. The stories are captivating, taking one back to another, bucolic period of time.
The narration by Nicholas Ralph is outstanding and added to my enjoyment immeasurably.

Superb narration!
These wonderful stories are timeless and I could listen to them over and over, especially when they’re being read by Nicholas Ralph. He is amazing!! I often forgot that I was listening to one person playing all the parts, because his distinctive voices and accents were so convincing. His performance brought these amazing stories to life with incredible warmth. He should not only be nominated for every award in this category, but he should win!!

Another Brilliant Audiobook!
Once again, Nicholas Ralph does a brilliant job narrating this beloved James Herriott novel. Such a lovely, entertaining and enjoyable book!

Nicholas Ralph is wonderful
These books are so good - and made even more enjoyable by Nicholas Ralph’s narration! I have listened to all of the ones he has narrated. Best narrator I have listened to on Audible.

Nicholas Ralph is exceptional
Great books and a perfect narrator. Will listen many times. Nicholas Ralph is beyond impressive. Great on the screen but his narration is spot on. Voices, inflection his timing is superb. The stories are timeless. Don't hesitate.

Loved it!
Herriot is such an observant writer of the whole Yorkshire scene: its people, its animals, and nature. Just wonderful!
