She was a spinster watchmaker living contentedly with her sister and their elderly father in the tiny house over their shop in Haarlem. But with the Nazi invasion and occupation of Holland, everything changed. Great book

I was put off by the nasally voice of the narrator. But I had read the book many years ago and had my own perception of how it should sound.

Fantastic story

A true story for all humanity! Take a listen.

What a delightfully delivered recollection from a lady with more fortitude and gumption than I could begin to even imagine embodying.
How impossible to experience this, and not be the better, more grateful person for it.
In a world filled with pain and darkness it is stories like this that remind you what it means to be a human, and to understand the call to all of us to be more “Corrie” in the ways we conduct ourselves. Highly recommended!

Every time listen to this book.I learn something new. Corrie ten Boom is my hero.

Beautiful

A beautiful story of how we should truly love each day with thanksgiving to God. We need to look for all the positives at every given moment God is providing us. I loved hearing Wanda’s voice & she made the story come to life. My very first audible book that I actually finished!!!!

The Hiding Place

This audio is such a blessing. I loved the book and the Audio. Heart rendering and all Glory to God and our Lord Jesus Christ and The Holy Spirit. He used this family mightily to reach out to the world.
It made me so grateful how easily I have access to study The Bible so freely. My ancestors were men and women and children taken out of Africa , their homeland and chained in rows in bottom of crowded ships sailing across the seas to be slaves separated from their family and even their babies. They were taken to a strange land and treated worse than animals. Even their names were changed. I can’t and won’t compare this to the Holocaust. Both were horrible and should never be forgotten. Love must and should abound to all mankind. But sadly it doesn’t. But One day all of this will change to the glory of God and His sacrifice for mankind for all who believe .

Amazing story of forgiveness

I love the detailed descriptions as it helped me feel as though I was there. The ten Boom family is a marvelous example of being Christ like.

Such a great book and story

Corrie is such a hero of the faith and I love this book! The movie really doesn't do justice to the story as the book does!
