Cornelia Arnolda Johanna "Corrie" ten Boom (April 15, 1892 - April 15, 1983) was a Dutch watchmaker who worked with her father Casper and other family members to help, reportedly, 800 Jews escape the Nazi Holocaust during World War II by hiding them in their home. Eventually, the family was caught; ten Boom was arrested, sent to Ravensbruck concentration camp, and released after 10 months due to a clerical error. Later in life, ten Boom wrote The Hiding Place, a biography that recounts the story of her family's efforts and how she was able to find hope while imprisoned.

The Hiding Place
I love being pulled into history even the ugly history subjected on innocence. In The Hiding Place the reader can see through the eyes of Corrie ten Boom and see how the love of thy neighbor can heal even the savage heart of the monster. A great book that should be held in high regard for its honesty. Heart breaking as well as heart warming. This will be on my shelves and read again and again!

Life changing.
This book so eloquently demonstrates Gods love for us and how even in the most dark circumstances He will use it for His glory to point us so graciously to himself. I am in awe of the courage a dedication of these women. Their story is having as much an impact today as it did when it was written, and perhaps even more so.

I loved this book.
Wanda McCaddon did a great job of narrating this wonderfully written book. It took my breath away, sometimes in a good way and sometimes not. I will definitely listen to this one again.

WOW! ALL I CAN SAY IS WOW!
I'VE LEARNED SO MUCH! AT FIRST I STRUGGLED WITH IT BECAUSE I KNEW THE HORROR THAT SURELY AWAITED ME WITHIN IT. THE HAPPINESS AT THE BEGINNING AND ME KNOWING WHAT WAS COMING MADE IT EVEN MORE SUSPENSEFUL. BUT I AM SO GLAD I FINISHED IT! WHAT A WEALTH OF KNOWLEDGE I'VE LEARNED!
