Yes. It a compelling story as well as chock full of helpful info about the difficulties in coping with obesity. It helps me appreciate the struggle I and other compulsive over-eaters are engaged in daily. I will return to this book time and again as I continue my journey towards a healthier lifestyle.
Drew. He does a good job sharing what he learned in his Fit2Fat2Fit experience. He gained a lot of insight by actually putting himself through the paces of over-eating, then struggling with weight loss.

Drew's lapse into lethargy as he piled on the excess weight. Also, his anxiety about whether he would be able to lose it now that he has gained 60 unwanted pounds.
Very good book full of insights. Drew's wife also does a great job describing her concerns and experience as her husband embarked on this adventure. Very honest sharing of her own experience.
The first-person perspective of this book is priceless, and the tips for powering through weight loss without losing your mind (like all battles, weight loss is partly mental) are also quite valuable. Thanks for being the human Guinea pig, Drew.
Pretty good. I appreciate the honesty of the story. Some metaphors are a bit far fetched and the story seems to be over before it begins. Motivational nevertheless.
This left me flat. I love to pick up something in this genre from time to time as a motivation, but this story just left me feeling like this guy was saying, "I did it, so can you". He does a great service by emphasizing a healthy diet in the way he does, but doesn't give any reference to emotional eating or the science of sugar's effect on the body. He actually did not do any outside research with scientists or nutritionists. I know, there are zillions of books out there that cover that. But it is always good to be reminded of how your body is going to respond to that cookie or piece of bread. Some of the advise offered, finding a weight-loss buddy or sharing your goals with others, are gems we have all heard before. Ugh. The author is an absolute master of healthy eating and willpower, but despite taking this quite dramatic journey to understand what it feels like to be overweight, he does not address the problem most of us have completely eliminating bad foods from our diets as he does. It would have been interesting for him to experiment with his weight loss by incorporating cheat days and seeing what happens. The ever-present debate over whether it is about the goal or the journey? Do I swear off wine and scones forever? What do you say to your host when they serve lasagna and garlic bread at their dinner party? This story could have been so much more had the author expanded the story beyond his own narrow view. If you check out the author's website, you can probably find out if this book is for you. The mindset is 110% dedication and micro-managing of your diet and exercise. For those who are willing to be dedicated, but whose brains go hyper-focused on food when on this type of plan, this book doesn't give any answers.

I purchased this book in an attempt to find some kind of motivation to work out and loose baby weight from my 4th baby who is 3 months old. I'd been so tired and getting motivated had been harder than ever. Fit to Fat to Fit was so endearing and insightful about the challenges I'm facing and helped me decide how and that it is possible to face them. The hope and humor Drew's story provided was priceless. I will probabley listen to it many times to remember the support and wisdom it provided as I go through my own jouney.
Definitely would recommend this book. If you have ever struggled with your weight this book is very informative

I think what the guy did was a very good experience but gaining 75 pounds and then losing it = not much there.
Everything was spelled out predictable.
lucky it did not take to long to listen to.
"Not as motivational as I was hoping for"
I expected more focus on Drew's training and diet, but the book instead was filled with analogies regards his feelings to overweight clients. This gets a bit tiring.
His results are motivating in themselves, but this book unfortunately is less so.
