Publisher's summary

Double your odds of leading successful, sustainable change

Leaders aren't short on access to change management advice, but the jury has long been out as to which approach is the best one to follow. With the publication of Beyond Performance 2.0, the verdict is well and truly in. By applying the approach detailed by authors Scott Keller and Bill Schaninger, the evidence shows that leaders can more than double their odds of success - from 30 percent to almost 80.

Whereas the first edition of Beyond Performance introduced the authors' "Five Frames of Performance and Health" approach to change management, the fully revised and updated Beyond Performance 2.0 has been transformed into a truly practical "how to" guide for leaders. Every aspect of how to lead change at scale is covered in a step-by-step manner, always accompanied by practical tools and real-life examples.

Game Changer

I've struggled in the past to pin point exactly why well meaning employees weren't engaged and didn't perform as I hoped when it came to change. This book is written in a language that is so simple yet so impactful. I'm definitely buying the hard copy as well because this is about to become my change management bible.

A great meta-model

This book does not really bring any particular new insight in the realm of management (or change management as it is presented). However it does connect many focused research insights and practices that put together provide a consistent framework to approach what I would call complex organizations and not necessary change management. The only caveat is a shy (poor) adaptation of Theory U, for the rest at least the tip of iceberg of each framework and theory interwoven in this meta-model is perfectly placed to help you achieve better results.

Great book! I just ordered the physical copy!

I’d recommend this book to anyone working with other people. It provides valuable insights into the overall change process, which is helpful whether it is you that are going through change, or your clients. Furthermore it adds to your general leadership skills. And backs it all up with data and practical examples.

Extreamly Insightful

The authors do a masterful job of making their research relatable with methods of application.

Great Content, highly recommend.

The authors did an outstanding job with this book. Content was all relevant, research well organized and insightful recommendations for application were given. Definitely a book I will read another 2/3 times and continue to turn back to for reference in the future.

Organisational change management

Very interesting book! It gives a good overview of the different elements needed to drive change in an organisation.
Do take notes during this one. There is a lot of information being given. I would go as far as buying the book and read and listen at the same time.

Mostly a sales pitch for their paid tools

Products are mentioned in every other sentence, full of fluffy jargon and self-praise.
Very disapointed, since I adore the other McKinsey partners books.
