Exciting action

In this novel, Rex, the German Shepherd and his owner Albert have the help of Hans, the Dachshund, in bringing the crooks to justice. They also save Victor the clanger maker and prove his sister Kate innocent of murder. There’s plenty of action , information about clangers, and lots of humor.

Love the Dog’s point of view

This is a fun and light story, as well as intriguing and suspenseful. Absolutely love the fact that the author avoids the curse words. It makes it so much more pleasant to listen to.

Another great story with Albert and Rex....this time Rex has a little competition with another dog and at first glance and sniff... the growling and snarky comments.....(..from the dogs)....begins. Great characters .... Albert and Rex are so much fun ...the people they meet and how they get involved in all these mysteries is interesting and fun too. Albert and Rex are a great team....Enjoy.

Bedfordshire Clanger Calamity is Book 4 in the Albert Smith Culendry Capers. Steve Higgs writes such a wonderful cozy mysteries that often leaves me laughing out loud. Albert and Rex are eating in a restaurant when their waitress is arrested for murder. Of course Albert and Rex stick their noses in to solve the crime. I have read the book and listening to the audio was so good. Charles Robert Fox does an exciting performance as narrator. I received a code for free in exchange for my honest voluntary w.

Albert and Rex and another murder investigation

Albert and Rex make another stop on their culinary tour or England, this time to Bedfordshire for a class on making clangers. While there, they’re pulled into yet another murder investigation, and find themselves trying to clear the name of a young woman, the girlfriend of the man killed. Albert finds himself taking care of not only Rex, but also a snarky dachshund who belongs to the young woman.

The author is drawing the storyline of this series together by continuing to involved a behind the scenes mafia-like character who’s behind these murders. It will be interesting to see how this develops in future books.

This book involves not only murder, but kidnapping, employee one-upmanship and dissatisfaction, and dogs’ jealousy of each other.

I listened to the audiobook version of this and loved it. It’s well-written by the author and perfectly performed by the narrator. It had me chuckling out loud more than once. The antics of the dogs and Albert’s sleuthing are phenomenal.

I highly recommend this book and the entire series.
