Great gift for my mom

Being a woman is not easy. We deals with bodily changes on a monthly and these changes are even more drastic as we age. I got this book for my mom as a gift, because I want her to have overall wellness and be with me for a long time. I find chapter 6 very interesting. My mother has been sleeping less and less over the year but I can see how that contribute to her weight gain. Hopefully this will be good insight for my mom to improve her sleeping habit.

Especially for women before menopause

I wish I had known the things that will happen before menopause, particularly the weight gain. Even though I’ve been healthy most of my life I never expected to gain as much weight as I did during menopause. The author is right, it’s a bit harder to take the weight off after, but not impossible. Ugh!

for all women


This book contains vital info not only for women that are going through menopause but for any woman. Simple things such as that water is the healthiest drink. If it’s too bland, then you can add lime. How exercise is simply moving your body more and can be fun like hip hop dancing or Zumba. I like the part that says your ideal weight is the weight where you don’t lose or gain weight easily and it’s the weight where you’re the most comfortable. I was literally eating potato chips when chapter 4 started. Anyone can listen to that chapter. I will be honest: I didn’t feel like eating those chips anymore. So anytime I have junk food cravings, re-listening to chapter 4 would help.

All women should listen to this audiobook because even if we’re not going through menopause yet, we will because all women will have to go through that and knowing this now will inspire you to make changes in your diet and lifestyle starting NOW –early in your life, not to mention exercising. You can take control of your health or happiness.

Understanding the change with clarity and wisdom

I chose to listen to this book as a preventive measure. I have already noticed how every new decade brings its challenges in managing weight. The information I discovered throughout this book was mostly new and very interesting. I definitely feel prepared for a healthier aging process, where I can prevent escalation to a point of no return, and feel in control of my health and weight.
