Liberated & Entertaining Character

This is as lucid and funny as I would like to be when I reach 80 years old. Shatner is a funny guy who appears to be enjoying life. I chuckled many times during the listen. I saw myself many times during the book. I like the sound effects like the bell when he introduces a new "rule". I hope Bill gets to live until 120. Like the Jews say he should live to "hudert tzvanzig yooren"

Loved the book would read again to enjoy it again.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Shatner Rules?

The openning story about his Mom saying it was her birthday every time they ate out so she could get free cake.

A Good Time Waster

This is good for some laughs and Shatner insight. Nice to get some of his biography. At 80 he has earned the right to be full of himself, and he is. Wish he read it a bit slower and less mumbly, but it was mostly understandable. There is a way too long section read in Spanglish. Can't even figure what that was all about or why he bothered.

Funny and Insightful Autobiography

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

It was insightful and hilarious!! I hadn't realized that Shatner was a comedian and a damned good one at that! Bill explains his life with his great rules to live by without being pedantic. (There IS a difference between Shatner and Bill which is explained.) The book was informative, philosophical and Funny. I can't remember laughing so much while reading a book. Don't read this if you are expecting Captain Kirk to be present. He isn't but Shatner, Bill and the Negotiator Are!

Is there anyone Greater than The Shat-Man!

I don't normally enjoy bios but Sir William Shatner has worked his glorious magic once again! It might be the memory of his TV performances or the confident sound of his commanding voice, but I was instantly put at ease and enjoyed every humour filled minute of this book. Buy it - I did and I'm VERY happy I did :)

Aye Captain!

Although he could ditch the Esperanto - a great, entertaining listen....so much so that I listened to it twice on a long business trip. The stories are great and Bill is very, very articulate....about everything!

Definitely not on impulse power at 80 years old - hope I can be that way if and when that time comes...:)

Enjoyable

I prefer Up Till Now because it feels more complete and thought out, but this one definitely has some fun moments and the narration is great. If you are amused by Shatner you'll enjoy this.

This book was wonderfully shatneriffic. You get all the ego all the humor all the tidbits of cool info. I recommend it to anyone who's looking for a comedy or likes Bill (everyone then!).

Yes because it is narrated by him therefore the true Shatner atmosphere is created.

Surprisingly fun and enjoyable!

What did you love best about Shatner Rules?

I have followed Shatner's work since I became a Star Trek fan...but he's hasn't been my favorite. In recent years, however, he has become more and more entertaining and charming.

This audiobook was a delight! Shatner tells a great, interesting and entertaining story with all his unique charm and style.

What did you like best about this story?

Interesting story of his past to present adventures. It was fun to listen to and had recommended it to friends and family.
