Impressed

Excellent detective novel! Fast moving yet detailed enough to have a great storyline and depth to the characters. I loved that it takes place in Sweden! The character names sometimes seemed a bit similar which took a bit of a conscious effort to remember who was who, but I think that’s just a learning curve since I’m not a Swedish native.

Props to the narrator who seamlessly pronounced everything and navigated both British and Swedish accents brilliantly! She also had excellent pacing and cadence, and when it was a more suspenseful moment she brought just the right amount of anticipation and emotion.

Overall 10 out of 10!

I love a good mystery, and this is one for sure.
the narrator is really good one. the only thing is I had to slow the speed down a bit. It seemed too fast. I will be listening to the complete series.

Good story

This story takes place in Sweden. I really enjoyed listening to it. The ending was unexpected. The wrap up was boggling but could be followed.

I am looking for books for my 7th grader who likes murder mysteries. She is reading above her grade level and it is so hard to come up with books without sex. This book does not have a slow start or a descriptive sexual scene. It is hard to put down from the very beginning. It does have language and some difficult content about the girls who are murdered, but I discuss those parts and how my daughter can avoid being in those situations herself. How she should handle them if she was. I will let her read this. Thank you.

Amazing story!

This book kept me on my toes the entire time. I didn’t want to stop listening to it. The only hiccup I had was keeping track of all the names but had caught on in the middle of it. I’m so excited this is a series! Highly highly recommend if you enjoy suspense, triller, true crime novels.

Wow!

I knew this would be an intense roller coaster of a read. It was so much more than that. It was personal. It was life shattering. It was dramatic. It was mysterious. It was suspenseful. There were so many moving parts to the story, but the author did an amazing job, linking it all together and keeping you knowledgeable and understanding what was going on. But the characters were thinking the direction they were going. But it’s still left complete?’s so that the books continue to flow. I absolutely love this read. The ending I don’t even know what to say about. It definitely leaves an opening for another book to find out what happened to Jamie‘s father. Great read highly recommend it!
