Publisher's summary

Discover how to use proven spy techniques to bolster your business strategies - from self-advocation to selling to interviewing - and ultimately make more money with this unique guide from the winner of Shark Tank and best-selling author of Spy Secrets That Can Save Your Life.

Spies communicate in code and employ a range of techniques to survive in diverse environments. But to be effective, they must be business-savvy - they must know how to successfully persuade others. In fact, intelligence agents are among the best salesmen in the world.

Whether we realize it or not, each one of us is a salesman. Every day, you sell yourself - your talents, your value, and your ideas to colleagues, to friends, and even to your partner. At the office, you maneuver in code to receive a promotion, a higher salary, professional recognition. Now, you can learn to sell yourself even better.

In Agent of Influence, Jason Hanson, a former CIA special agent and founder of Spy Escape School, reveals how anyone can use spy tactics for increased success, from learning how to strategically plan your day to mastering the steps you’ll need to embrace challenges and set achievable, personal goals. He teaches you how to develop a winning sales personality and target the perfect business opportunity using the SADR cycle - ”spotting”, “assessing”, “developing”, and “recruiting”. With this invaluable and unique handbook, you will become a more productive, confidant professional or entrepreneur.

In our evolving age of entrepreneurships, corporate careers, and self-run businesses, Jason’s message will appeal to those looking for a competitive leg up and who entrust the insider secrets of spy practice to take them there.

I’ve read a ton of business books and I haven’t been able to stop listening to this audio book it is so on the money with all of its nuggets of wisdom . Jason is really great at getting you to engage and really absorb his own lessons he has acquired over the years . You will not regret getting this book I promise !

Entertaining, not the right title.

The name of the book and content does not match.
Does not have much on persuasion. More of a storytelling book/ memoir, then an information packed guide on persuasion.
If the title was much clearer on the content, there would be no disappointments.
PS: Have good tips on getting on TV though.

Former CIA agent turns sales man

While not bad, not worth the audible price. Turned off by the sales pitches constantly. I draw the conclusion as he does for most things you always have to be selling. Just a vehicle to sale his wares.

I think he loses credibility to be by doing this.

But it is good information....

Great book for beginners of persuasion negotiation

I really enjoyed Jason's spy stories and he does have a lot of great tips and tricks on body language persuasion and survival and negotiation techniques but a lot of what he talks about I've already studied and implemented these thing's I was hoping to learn something new this book is more for people who don't have experience or know any of these tactics other then that I enjoyed his style of narration thanks Jason for serving your country and for all that you've done Great book overall.

Love his books, was a little dry

I love his books and feel he brings valuable skills to the table but this one moved a little slower & was slightly more dry than his other books. I think it needed more examples and stories. There were some and it was a very practical book with great advice but I think I liked his other books more. If you’re looking to grown your business or get on TV, it does offer excellent tips on how to be successful in doing so. Worth the read!

Not too rough. Valuable info

Easy listen. The book should be a little shorter. Some info does not apply to all

It’s ok

For the interpersonal aspect read a book on NLP - the tips in this book are from that line of psychology and they are fine.
The stories on spy stuff are entertaining, the author is trying hard to mine more out if it than there in it.
For business development there are better books around.

Useless

Completely useless . Nonsense. Not practical . Out of context .
There are lot of generalities . Nothing specific. If , only, one page . So it does not deserve to be a book . It is an essay plus added non sense to it .
