Publisher's summary

On Earth in the year 2143, the New Republic struggles with a new epidemic: suicide. A managed world without challenges to the human spirit has turned utopian life into one not worth living. To deal with this problem, the New Republic grants TimeMap Inc. access to time-travel technology, and soon time tourism flourishes. For a select few, the warrior guilds are the ultimate life-and-death time-travel experience. Joined by three unlikely allies, Logan Yarbrough, a talented art designer, must again travel back in time to rescue both his childhood friend Dawson, and his own reputation.

Will Logan and his rescue team survive the Roman offensive in ancient Britannia in time to save Dawson? Can Logan trust his new companions to put their lives on the line for a complete stranger? Can he trust himself to do the same?

Trash story, Wokeness, Returned!!!

So let me start by saying this was not a new take on time travel books, but I expected more since they did so much historic explanation.
This guy was angry that people would be doing sadistic things whenever they traveled back in time, which is madness to me. That was standard place in those times. Did you as an author not know about blood eagles, crucifixion or how about chopping off people’s limbs in war or torture?
How is it that this seems to be the sticking point for you, it makes no sense. This where I wish the author could respond because I would like to hear any explanation because now since I can’t, I can just assume he was trying to modernize a time of darkness which is just madness. Robbery, rape, murder, torture and slavery all was commonplace during those time described. So, to make it seem like just one man from the future is the problem is nonsense.
I can’t stand these types of books which has so much wokeness that it misses the point of storytelling because it’s trying to be so nice. It’s a story nothing else, you want to sell books, well write something people want to listen too, or it will be returned and your feel good wokeness won’t be getting me to buy another one because I’m returning this one. I want battle in my fantasy books to escape reality, not more of this world so don’t try to tell me one guy raping, killing, taking war trophy and torturing is the problem in a time when that was the norm. History is filled with people like this, Ivar the boneless, Eric the red, Rollo the giant, Ivan the Terrible, Vlad the Impaler and Genghis Khan. The great Khan as he is known used to kill all the men and rape all the women that’s why most of Asia is said to have some DNA linking back to Khan Bloodline. I could go on and on and on, but this proves my point. You as the author need to do more historic research it seems since you don’t know that serfs weren’t free to leave, just slavery in a different name. You didn’t do enough research it seems because all of those men were ruthless, and I just shake my head at this nonsense you try to pass off as being somewhat accurate of the times. Returned!!
