Publisher's summary

A long time ago....

I was young and naive. I thought I could save the world. I thought that protecting those around me from hurt and pain was what I was born to do. She made me feel that way. Ava Links, the little girl who was too f - king stubborn for her own good. The little girl who absorbed the hurt and pain of everyone around her and tried to bring sunshine to them all. The little girl who somehow looked at me, expecting - no, damn near demanding - I protect her. I saw the pain she hid, and as I grew older, I understood that pain. The pain of being so much to so many that there is really never a "you."

I took control of my life....

I had to get away from everyone who pulled at me in order to claim myself. When I became the man I was destined to be, I began to live. Then, one drunken night, Ava Links, no longer a little girl, said the right damn thing to me, and everything changed. After seven years of f - king her while home on leave with no expectations, now my life is out of control. One bad dream, one I love you, one night of pushing her the hell out of my life, one drummer stealing her heart, and one explosion took everything away. Contains mature themes.

The BEST Emotional Rollercoaster!

You MUST read/listen to 27 Truths first. This kinda book isn't my norm, but geez! If I wasn't on nerve pills already I definitely would've been on them after this series. I laughed out loud, I cried, I was heartbroken, angry, happy, disappointed, you name it. The series was so good but I couldn't listen to it again. If you loved the first book, you MUST get this one. It really does bring closure. I'll leave you with 2 things, 1- life isn't fair and this series is a true illustration of that w/o fantasy 2- there were so many characters I kinda got confused in identifying who was who- so I only paid attention to important ones. Characters like Jackson, Riley and whoever else coulda been cut out. Other than that, it was perfect!!

A Great Duet

I loved this duet. The first book was really good but this is definitely a set. It's hard to really judge the whole thing until you finish both books.
I was slightly apprehensive to read part two because I wasn't certain I cared about Luke's perspective. He had been such a a$$hat in the first book. I didn't think I cared about his motives or that it was possible he could be redeemed. The author did a wonderful job making the reader care about him mostly because of the way he cared about Ava.
Poor, poor Ava. Book one leaves her in a bad place and in real need of a hero. I don't think either she or the reader want Luke to be that hero but nevertheless there he is.
This is a very different story for this genre. It was a welcomed change. I definitely recommend this duet.
Great narrators. Both of them totally embodied both characters.

Loved the duet🥰

Definitely enjoyed the 2nd book more because included a male narrator. A British male narrator in the first book would have made it so much better. The female a little too dramatic in the last part of book two. Kinda wanted to knock some sense into her. But the HEA finally came and she chilled out. Good set... some hot live scenes but definitely had meat to the story.

Not my favorite

I disliked the trashing of T he was a wonderful guy and I felt like he should have been honored more could have focused more on he fact a lot of Luke’s issues were because of lies his grandparents told instead of trying to make T into a bad guy he loves her and I felt like Ava should have defended T a lot more

Their story is tops in this family

This is my second time listening to these two and I love their story but his is my favorite. I also love that we stay so close to the people we love from all the other stories.

A definite MUST READ!!!

Luke and Ava’s love story is not easy but in the end it was all worth it! All you need is a little bit of Hope, the Chance, & a lot of Faith💕💕💕💕

Everyone deserves a Luke

Everyone deserves a second chance. Luke gets his second chance. He doesn't stop until he shows everyone what he needs them to see. Ava thinks everyone will think less of her because of the secret she has kept from them. Pipe helps Ava with her stories. Luke is sure there are reasons for everything. Luke is one hot determined male. Ava is one complicated female. Will they be able to make everything right. I love this couple. Did not like Luke much in the other story. Love Luke know and what he did for Ava and the babies. What an amazing must read.

Luke's Redemption

Holy smokes this book was so much better! Total redemption for Luke Lane. I loved knowing his back story and his 27 lies he told. I just wanted their story to keep going.

Good story

This was a good story. It took a while for this couple to come to terms with each other and get their HEA. Not your typical romance or love story but the story kept my interest from the beginning to the end. Highly recommend.
