Publisher's summary

I was a ruthless monster. A right-hand enforcer to the most powerful sociopathic vampire in the world. The only thing that mattered was satiating my bloodthirst for killing. When it came time to take out the Assembly, a group of demented humans who used creatures of the Otherworld for their own sick entertainment, I was ready to litter the ground with their corpses. And I did my job well. But when I woke up in the middle of nowhere and realized I’d been thrust into another dimension, the idea of death was a sweet relief.

But then I was found by an unlikely ally. She saved me.

This tiny Fae female with pointed ears, tiny fangs, deep red hair, and freckles that made me hungry, thirsty, and dying to see every part of her.

Ada. My mate.

It was an enemies-to-lovers start, where it was her and me against everything else in this dangerous new world. And for the first time in my life I actually…wanted something for myself. I wanted to protect instead of kill. I wanted to love instead of hate. I just didn’t know if I could ever be anything but the villain of my own story.

One of my fav.

I read this story in print and then I also got it as audible. It’s so good. This book was a surprise for me. I didn’t see it coming because I was anticipating the story of previous book of Orhran and Larkin. But the story with Sabastian and Ada was so spicy and sassy. The chemistry and the dialogue between Ada and Sabastian was off the hook. I loved every min of it.

I enjoyed this story a lot. I tried to put it down and finish it the next day, but I couldn't. The whole series is extremely addicting.

Big bad dirty-talking vampire brilliance!

I couldn't put this one down...finished in a single sitting! Sebastian and Ada have a very interesting dynamic to their mate bond relationship. There is a wide range of thriller/suspense, darkness, snarky banter, possessive Alpha in protector mode, and some of the hottest dirty talking vampire scenes ever... Watch out for chapter 10/11 - Yowza!!! I seriously love this series! Each book does have a continuing story arc but can be listened to on their own, which is nice. I can't wait to listen to the next book to get Lennox's story, up next with a special appearance in this book by John Hartley to intro that character and his story. Count me in!! This book is recorded in DUET with JF and Stella absolutely knocking this one out of the part with every scene! They are both favorite narrators, but together in duet they are magic!

Adrian’s cousin Sebastian’s story. Loved it!

This series is so good! When I listened to Bite Marks, I was curious about Adrian’s cousin Sebastian. Loyal right-hand to the worlds most dangerous vampire. I was so happy to get his story.

After taking part in dismantling The Assembly, Sebastian is looking forward to getting back to his life. By some force, he’s sent to another dimension. He discovers he’s not the only one transported. Ada—a Fae who was a prisoner of The Assembly—somehow made it through the portal w/Sebastian. They soon discover they’re mated to each other, and neither is happy about it. Ada is a feisty, sarcastic little thing, and for some reason, Sebastian likes it. As they try to figure out how to get back to their home, they encounter a few dangers unlike any they’ve ever seen. They’re also trying to fight the attraction of their mating bond, which is useless.

I loved the interaction between Sebastian and Ada. How they were both protective of each other as they meandered through their strange temporary home. There were a couple surprises from the newly-released prisoners. No spoilers, but I hope there’s a story about them. This is a wonderful series, and the audiobook version shows the talents of some amazing narrators.

Not her strongest story but still fun.

Since the characters basically walk around for the first 10 or 11 chapters, it’s a little doll and there’s not very much angst or sexual tension. This story doesn’t have the same build up as some of her other stories in the series. But as usual, the narrators are on point and do a fabulous job. The sex is a lot raunchier in the story as well.

Couldn't stop listening, even if I tried or wanted to...and of course I didn't!!!
This series is mind-blowing hot and sooooo good, and book 7 doesn't disappoint at all! Love Sebastian & Ada's story, their interaction, everything! Make me wish I were mated with someone...
Now I'm patiently (not) waiting for Lennox's story...pleaseeeeeee
