So you think your mom is embarrassing? You won’t after you meet mine. She’s the co-host of a morning television show and her host chat has covered everything I’ve done from puking on my piano teacher’s shoes to gluing antlers on my head. But I’ve got the microphone now and I’m doing weekly commentaries on my school’s broadcast/podcast. Don’t get me wrong - mom’s awesome, and I’d never really want to freak her out. But if viewers get to hear about my private life, why can’t I dish about Mom’s new boyfriend, or how dorky she is as a school volunteer?

In einer kurvigen Straße, fast am Ufer der Elbe, leben Frau Meyer und Robert. Frau Meyer ist 92 Jahre alt und wohnt in einem riesengroßen, uralten Haus. Bei seiner Freundin darf Robert fast immer klingeln, nur nicht in der Mittagszeit. Denn nach dem Essen ruht sie sich aus. Also muss er warten. Das fällt Robert nicht leicht. Mit Frau Meyer ist es spannend und aufregend. Robert ist es egal, dass seine Freundin nicht so gut hört oder ab und zu drei Brillen braucht. Er besucht sie fast jeden Tag, weil es mit ihr unendlich viel zu erleben und zu erzählen gibt.

Die alte Frau Angelo hat Sorgen. Sie verkauft zwar das beste Eis der Stadt, aber jetzt ist Winter und die Leute trinken höchstens einen Espresso bei ihr. Wenn überhaupt. Denn seitdem gegenüber der Eisdiele eine Baustelle knattert, kommen nicht einmal mehr die Espressotrinker. Frau Angelo verkündet, dass sie die Eisdiele für immer schließen muss. Zum Glück gibt es die Zwillinge Pit und Anna Metternich, die den Laden unbedingt retten wollen. Dabei spielen Foxtrott und Äpfel eine nicht unbedeutende Rolle, genau wie eine Arztpraxis für Hals, Nasen und Ohren, ein Sonnenstudio und - Vanilleeis.

Lotta ist entsetzt. Alles dreht sich nur noch ums neugeborene Baby. Sie hat man vergessen. Ganz klar, der Störenfried muss weg! Freund Felix weiß Rat: Das Baby wird eingetauscht. Doch niemand will tauschen. Ein besserer Plan muss her. Das Baby wird im Wagen vorm Supermarkt einfach verloren, neue Eltern wird es finden. Da schleicht sich bei Lotta und Felix etwas ein, womit sie nicht gerechnet haben. Nämlich die Verantwortung für ein so hilfloses Wesen, das viel zu klein ist, um zu begreifen, dass es stört.

Seit Lukas eine Schwester bekommen hat, hat seine Mutter ein neues Lieblingswort. Es heißt "gleich". Egal, was Lukas mit Mama machen möchte, immer bekommt er zu hören: "Gleich, Lukas, gleich". Aber Lukas will nicht warten. Zum Glück weiß er sich zu helfen und regelt seine Angelegenheiten alleine. Mama kann sich ruhig um das Baby kümmern, während Lukas badet, Kuchen backt oder Schuhe putzt und sogar Mama bei ihrer Arbeit hilft. Nicht alles klappt wie bei Mama, aber Lukas ist einfallsreich und hartnäckig. Mama muss höchstens hinterher ein bisschen aufräumen.

Olli ist der Allerbeste und der Einzige! Das sagen Mama und Papa immer. Aber warum wollen sie dann noch einen Olli haben? Was stimmt denn nicht mit ihm? Und wieso soll er jetzt der Große sein? Olli fühlt sich irgendwie alt. Während Mama im Krankenhaus auf das Baby wartet, soll der alte Olli zum "dritten Opa" aufs Land fahren. Der dritte Opa ist auch alt. Komisch nur, dass von ihm noch nie die Rede war. Ob der dritte Opa auch übrig ist, so wie Olli? Oder liegt es daran, dass der Opa mit Pflanzen spricht? Und dass die ihm sogar antworten? Olli glaubt erstmal gar nichts. Doch dann geschieht etwas Seltsames.

Muss man eigentlich immer nett sein? Seitdem Papa auf Dienstreise ist und Mama sich nur noch um Gesine, seine kleine Schwester, kümmert, ist Romuald die Lust am Nettsein gründlich vergangen. Im Laden von Herrn Jeh macht er eine überraschende Beobachtung: Es scheint sogar Menschen zu geben, die nie nett sein müssen. Das sind die Chefs. Fortan will Romuald nur noch Chef sein und alles bestimmen. Aber dann kommt Papa wieder zurück, und Romuald steht vor der Frage: Kann es in einer Familie auch zwei Chefs geben? Oder ist womöglich Mama hier der Chef?

Der Radio BERLIN-OHRENBÄR präsentiert: "Linus und Leo sind längst nicht mehr klein" von Sigrid Zeevaert, gelesen von Leslie Malton. Linus und Leo sind nicht mehr klein. Natürlich sind sie nicht so groß wie Amelie, ihre älteste Schwester. Aber auch nicht mehr so klein, wie ihre andere Schwester Emma das immer behauptet und die lauter Geheimnisse mit ihrem Freund Fritzi hat. Unbemerkt folgen die Brüder ihr, als sie Wuschel, den Hund, ausführt. Dabei gehen sie fast verloren! Wenn da nicht Wuschel und eben Emma wären, die sie wieder aufspüren. Linus und Leo sind froh.

Gino fährt mit seinen Eltern zu Opa. Die Fahrt im Zug ist ziemlich langweilig, bis Gino eine seltsame alte Frau entdeckt. Sie strickt eine Mütze, die so grell und gelb ist, dass sie in den Augen blendet. "Die Mütze ist das Glück", behauptet die alte Frau und schenkt sie Gino. Erst glaubt er nicht, dass eine Mütze das Glück sein kann. Aber dann erlebt Gino aufregende Abenteuer mit den anderen Fahrgästen, die alle eins gemeinsam haben: Sie brauchen Glück. Und Gino mit der gelben Mütze ist tatsächlich ein Glücksbringer. Ob das bis zum Ende der Zugfahrt auch so bleibt?

Alles könnte so schön sein, wenn Fritzi Emma nicht soeben die Freundschaft aufgekündigt hätte - fast ohne Grund. Emma vermisst ihn, auch wenn sie vorgibt, dass er ihr egal ist und es ja auch genug anderes für sie gibt. Zum Beispiel balanciert sie sowieso viel lieber über ein Seil, als mit Fritzi zu spielen. Außerdem gibt es noch Wuschel, ihren Hund, und den Ring, den Emma mit Papa für Mama aussuchen geht.
