The Park Series

Liz and Tony are both eight years old, Qianfan and Meera are nine, and Maria, who is eight and a half, tells everyone she meets that she is eight and a half and not just eight! Meera, Qianfan, and María have all moved to America from different countries while Tony and Liz were born in America and had lived there all their lives.

Liz is turning nine-years-old. Maria, Tony, Meera, and Qianfan want to do something special for her birthday. With the help of their parents, they plan an awesome party with lots of gifts, sweet treats, and super cool things to do!

Finally, the first day of school has arrived. The fact that Meera, Tony, Maria, Liz, and Qianfan will be riding the same school bus together makes them all incredibly happy. As they wait for the bus each morning at the park, they discuss what they learned in class the day before. Their parents gather across the street watching and waving goodbye as the yellow school bus drives away.
