The God-Touched Saga

The Forsaken Realms, once a place where gods and humanity thrived together, sharing knowledge, technology and magic. It was a peaceful time, but humanity's greed for power grew. The gods started to hear whispers of humans researching methods to become gods themselves. Death and destruction lay waste to the realm, and continued to do so for hundreds of years. Until only three gods remained. Vornath, Zyra and Aura.

Years passed and no gods were heard of, no magic was practiced and technology was lost. The three who survived stayed out of sight, watching, never meddling. They watched on as humanity thrived again, relearning some of the old technology but refusing to practice magic.

Magic was forbidden and if anybody was caught with even a whiff of the gods gifts they would be killed immediately.

Divine Awakening begins in a village far away from the strict laws of the Imperium. It is the day of the ceremony, a special event within Ember Hollow where young adults are given their career paths, chosen by the council. Nerves are high as two sisters, Netura and Lorelei Fluerell, step forwards to be allocated to their desired careers as farmers, but the council has decided otherwise. Separating them from not just each other but their chosen career paths. A voice, ancient and powerful, whispers upon the wind stirring deep magic within five young adults.

Breet Coldwood, the village bully, Alto Partlow, a hunter, and Cassian Vale must decide if they are going to help the two sisters defend their village when a cult of Red-cloaked figures suddenly raid their village.

Will their powers be enough to save their village? Can they overcome their own demons to help fight the invading cult? And if they are successful will their own families and friends turn on them, following the law, or will they embrace them and help hide their dark secret?
