In Blackpool, sixteen-year-old Dylan Bennett prefers order, mathematics, and predictable routines. When his Rottweiler Bruno digs up what appears to be driftwood, Dylan discovers it's actually a magical wand opening a portal to Dravengate—a realm between worlds.

Dylan learns he's the new Keeper of Time, tasked with restoring the "crossing"—connections between realities damaged centuries ago during the Cataclysm when a rogue Keeper tried seizing control. In Dravengate, Dylan meets mentors Elara, Thorne, and brilliant Archivist apprentice Rowan, while Bruno reveals himself as Dylan's Guardian, transforming into a magnificent golden protector.

Dylan must restore six ancient sigils, starting with Time. His mathematical mind proves perfect for comprehending the complex patterns governing interdimensional connections. However, shadow entities led by Corvus—a former apprentice merged with void forces—oppose him, thriving on the crossing's damaged state.

Corvus warns that the damaged crossing barriers deeper threats: "Deep Void Entities." As reality bleeds between worlds, Dylan balances ordinary life with cosmic responsibilities, keeping secrets from his family while implementing magical solutions.

Working with Rowan, Dylan discovers the original Architects designed sophisticated boundary systems—not walls, but selective filters allowing beneficial connections while blocking dangerous incursions. By implementing these designs, Dylan continues restoration without releasing deeper threats.

Throughout his journey, Dylan's bond with Bruno deepens into profound magical connection. Embracing both identities—ordinary teenager and extraordinary Keeper—Dylan reestablishes the first proper crossing in centuries, allowing controlled connection while maintaining protective boundaries.
