Designing Emma

With her two best friends, Daniel and Damion, at her side, Emma finally feels as if all her dreams are coming true. Her fledgling fashion company, Delacourt Designs, is finding its feet and a love she never imagined is beckoning. Yet just when Emma’s life seems to be falling into place, it all falls apart on the heels of her father’s alcoholism and gambling addiction. Watching someone she loves tumble into ruin destroys a part of her, and suddenly Emma is faced with a choice that could change everything.

When Emma makes a devastating sacrifice for her father, it sends one of her best friends, Daniel, far from her side. Despite this loss and heartbreak, Emma still has Damion by her side – and a company that she is determined to make a success. 

In Nick, Emma finds an unexpected ally. In Daniel’s absence, he becomes a friend, a confidant, and a shrewd business partner. With his help, her new company blossoms, inspiring happiness that is only increased when it seems Emma’s father is on the road to recovery. Life is finally going well, yet she can’t seem to fully enjoy it while her heart still longs for Daniel.  

Daniel’s unexpected return offers help to Emma’s new company and band-aid to her damaged heart. Yet his help comes with strings, ones that threaten the tentative ‘friends only’ agreement they have made. Emma is supposed to travel with him to the city of love itself, Paris, for work. Can the estranged lovers resist the lure of the most romantic city in the world or will they forever remain as just friends?  

Daniel’s hot and cold behavior has gone too far for Emma to handle. Her focus needs to be on Delacourt Designs and not on an affair that wrecks her heart. Pulling away from Daniel is painful, but necessary, though it puts her in closer proximity to Nick, the one who helped her when Daniel walked away. As their working relationship blossoms into strange feelings, Emma starts to wonder if her happy ending won’t be with Daniel after all. 

As the relationship between Nick and Emma deepens, Daniel suddenly realizes that he is running out of time to win her heart and her hand. Can he somehow make her see how much he has loved her all along, or has he lost the chance at Emma’s love forever?
