Deep Waters

Ellie Hughes is done. Done being pitied, done being part of a life where she no longer fits in, done. After the loss of her husband, Ellie travels halfway across the world, on a whim, to the tiny hamlet of Bettyhill, Scotland. The town is full of colorful characters, including the handsome but surly librarian, Lawson MacCallum. When unforeseen circumstances leave her stranded, the kind townspeople happily come to her aid. But this small town has secrets around every corner. Lawson quickly becomes a confidant and tells her of a mythological society awaiting their lost heir, where a dark prophecy has left their people in need of a savior to return light to their civilization. As Ellie is thrust into the dark world below the ocean’s glittering surface, she is introduced to creatures beyond her fairest dreams and worst nightmares. With a new crown and title, Ellie must find the strength to battle this ancient evil, or else her new home will come crumbling down around her.
