Auch Raat kann sich ihrem Bann nicht entziehen. Schließlich heiratet er sie. Das ist jedoch sein finanzieller Ruin.

Gymnasialprofessor Raat, allgemein nur "Professor Unrat" genannt, kompensiert seine mangelnde Autorität mit drakonischer Härte. Als er einen aufmüpfigen Schüler wieder mal in das "Kabuff" sperrt, entdeckt er in dessen Heften eine anzügliche Zeichnung von der stadtbekannten Rosa Fröhlich. Angeblich um die moralische Hygiene seiner Schüler besorgt, sucht er die verruchte "Barfußtänzerin" auf. Schnell macht sich die in der Verführung geübte Rosa den tyrannischen Chauvinisten gefügig. Als Raat sie sogar zu heiraten wagt, wird er unehrenhaft aus dem Schuldienst entlassen.
