    O Αλέξης Καρπούζος είναι φιλόσοφος, πνευματικός δάσκαλος και συγγραφέας, ιδρυτής και συντονιστής της Διεθνούς κοινότητας μάθησης, έρευνας και κουλτούρας στην Ελλάδα. Παρακολούθησε μαθήματα φιλοσοφίας, επιστημολογίας, κοινωνικών και ανθρωπιστικών επιστημών στη φιλοσοφική και νομική σχολή Αθηνών, επίσης συμμετείχε στα μαθήματα οντολογίας και μεταφυσικής που παρέδιδαν οι φιλόσοφοι κορνήλιος καστοριάδης και κώστας αξελός. Μέσα από αυτο-οργανωμένες ομάδες ερεύνησε, δοκίμασε και πειραματίστηκε  με τις σύγχρονες παιδαγωγικές θεωρίες και τις ψυχολογίες της μάθησης, όπως και με τις μοντέρνες ψυχαναλυτικές θεωρίες. Θεωρείται πρωτοπόρος της μετα-οντολογικής συνείδησης και της σοφίας της ανοιχτής ολότητας.

    O Αλέξης Καρπούζος είναι πνευματικός δάσκαλος και συγγραφέας, ιδρυτής και συντονιστής της Διεθνούς κοινότητας μάθησης, έρευνας και κουλτούρας στην Ελλάδα. Η κοινότητα επιχειρεί να χαράξει μια οδό σκέψης και ένα ήθος ζωής που να εμψυχώνεται από τη σκέψη της σχέσης και από τη συνείδηση της κοσμικής συνύπαρξης. Με άξονα τη στοχαστική παιδεία, ως αγωγή και καλλιέργεια του Λόγου και της ψυχής, δοκιμάζει την εμπειρία της Ανοιχτής Σκέψης, της Διεπιστημονικής/Ολιστικής έρευνας και της σφαιρικής γνωσιακής και αυτογνωσιακής διδασκαλίας και Μάθησης στοχεύοντας στη ψυχική και πνευματική ευαισθητοποίηση και μεταμόρφωση του Ανθρώπου. Σε συνεργασία με ερευνητικά κέντρα και πανεπιστημιακά τμήματα της Ευρώπης και της Β.Αμερικής διοργανώνει διεθνή διαδικτυακά προγράμματα σε διάφορα φιλοσοφικά και επιστημονικά πεδία. Η κοινότητα έχει επαφές και συνεργασίες σε 15 χώρες. Περισσότεροι από 7000 άτομα έχουν συμμετάσχει στα μαθήματα και τις δράσεις που έχουν δημιουργηθεί τα τελευταία 20 χρόνια.

    The originality of Alexis Karpouzos thought is that it crosses the most diverse fields, the most opposing philosophies, to unite them into an often contradictory and broken whole. Marx and Heidegger, Nietzsche, Freud and Heraclitus, poets and political theorists all come together in the same distance and the same unusual proximity. Alexis karpouzos use Pre-Socratics philosophy and generally the ancient Greek philosophy, as well as the pre-philosophical thinking of The Upanishads, the Vedas and Buddhism in India, of Lao Tzu, of Zen Buddhism and the Taoist tradition in China, of the Arab mystics and poets, with their metaphysical religiosity as the metaphysical basis for the interpretation and understanding of the world and existence. At the same time the ancient metaphysics is connect with Hegel’s dialectical ontology and with the modern thinking of Marx, Nietzsche, Freud, Heidegger, and others as the interpretive context for understanding the central problems of the technical and scientific world during his time. Novalis, Hölderlin, Rimbaud, Whitman, Eliot and others show the dreamy nature of existence, the transcendence of the Cosmos, welcome the infinity.
