    In this episode of Season 8 of The Mother Honestly Podcast, Take The Day Off, Powered by Splendid Spoon, Hosts Blessing Adesiyan and Andrea Mullan are joined by Dr. Darby Saxbe who is a clinical psychologist and professor of Psychology at the University of Southern California, she researches stress within the context of relationships with a focus on the transition to parenthood as a nexus of neural, hormonal, behavioral and psychological change. Dr Darby directs the USC Center for the Changing Family, a group of affiliated faculty from across the University of Southern California, including faculty from Psychology, Sociology, Economics, Pediatrics, Social Work, Law, and Preventive Medicine who study families from different methodological lenses.

    In this episode, they discuss the science behind caregiving behaviour and how much of it can be tied to neurology versus experiences and learned behaviour. They also discuss the wonderful work Dr Darby directs at the USC Center for the Changing Family and how much work and research they have been able to do with the help of families and caregivers.
