Follow Jon Down The Rabbit Hole

This was very good! One of the best AO audiobooks so far. The premise of Jon's investigation is the effect of one person's decision to change a said product (porn) with making it accessible to everyone and how it affects it's market and it's consumer's with unintentional results.

Fascinating Subject

If you could sum up The Butterfly Effect in three words, what would they be?

Out Of Control

Any additional comments?

The subject of free porn might be too taboo for the media to cover but Jon Ronson takes it by the horns. He highlights the ripple effects free porn has caused from the struggling porn industry to the side effects it has on the youth. Backed up with fascinating interviews it will open your eyes and shock you.

Exquisitely produced

This was an exquisite little journey into an often maligned corner of modern society that doesn't get many chances to share its stories. Loved the direction, the writing, and the narration. Obviously a well-loved project by those involved. Audible took a chance on producing this one but I'd say it was worth the investment - looking forward to more audible original podcasts now, if they're of similar quality.

well done!

loved the layers and intersectionality of this podcast it drives deep into the porn industry and it's consumers. The consumers and the stories done on them about why they want a certain fantasy are my favorite thing about this show. I hope a second season is done!!!

Jon Ronson does it again

Jon Ronson mixes wry bemusement with the absurdities of contemporary life with deep compassion and curiosity - the way he treats all his subjects with respect and open-mindedness makes his work truly shine. Would that we could all move through life with the same grace!

Regardless of your view on porn this is a worthy listen. The good, bad, and the ugly.

A Highly Dedicated Work of Journalism

The core story is of Fabian from Montreal that starts a streaming site for adult video, and upends an entire industry.
From a moral standpoint, this is a bleak tale of degeneration of society. People were broken because of technology, but people have always been broken this way...
The production was developed and worked on very intensely for around a years time, and there are many lessons to be gained. Almost none of the stories are happy stories.
Ron Jonson does a very thorough job looking at the effects from many different angles, and there is much to be learned of the way things work behind the scenes.
A good story, an entertaining listen...

The porn stars aren’t the whores of this story

Jon Ronson tells an interesting story but at its base is a bunch of thieves who stole the copyrighted content of other people and made money off it. They are criminals who should be in prison instead of millionaires. If they did the same to Star Wars they wouldn’t be bragging because Disney would prosecute to the fullest extent of the law. And Disney would win. They’d at least risk financial ruin if not jail time. (If they were this open about their crimes) They took advantage of people who had no power and used their sexual content in ways they didn’t convent to. They’re rapists.
