If you have hyperthyroidism (Graves' disease, toxic multinodular goiter, etc.) or Hashimoto's thyroiditis and are looking to do everything to save your thyroid gland, then the Save My Thyroid podcast is for you! Dr. Eric Osansky DC, IFMCP is the host, as he personally was diagnosed with Graves' disease in 2008 and was able to get into remission taking a natural approach. He created this podcast to help others with hyperthyroidism and Hashimoto's save their thyroid and regain their health. If you have hyperthyroidism then pretty much all of the episodes will benefit you, and if you have Hashimoto's you'll benefit from most of the guest expert episodes, as well as some of the "solo" episodes. The reason there is more of a focus on hyperthyroidism is because all of the other thyroid-related podcasts focus mostly on hypothyroidism/Hashimoto's, and since Dr. Eric personally dealt with Graves' disease he wanted this podcast to focus more on hyperthyroidism, although it will still offer plenty of value to those with hypothyroidism/Hashimoto's. Dr. Eric Osansky lives in Matthews NC with his wife, 2 daughters, 3 cats, 2 dogs, and 3 guinea pigs! He has been a practitioner for 20+ years, and has focused on helping people with thyroid and autoimmune thyroid conditions since 2009.

  • Conquering SIBO and Post Infectious IBS with Lindsey Parsons
    Apr 7 2026

In this episode, Dr. Eric sits down with gut health expert Lindsey Parsons to explore the deeper root causes behind SIBO—especially post-infectious IBS. Lindsey shares her personal journey from food poisoning to chronic gut issues and autoimmune conditions, eventually leading her to specialize in helping others heal complex digestive disorders.

They dive into what really drives recurrent SIBO, explaining how an autoimmune response triggered by food poisoning can damage the migrating motor complex, leading to ongoing bacterial overgrowth. Lindsey breaks down the differences between hydrogen and methane SIBO, the role of fungal overgrowth (SIFO), and why many traditional approaches fail to provide lasting results. The conversation also covers testing options like the IBS Smart test, limitations of breath testing, and how to better assess the gut microbiome.

You’ll also learn about effective treatment strategies, including when to use antibiotics versus herbal antimicrobials, the emerging use of MSM, the controversy around berberine, and the critical role of prokinetics in long-term management. If you want a clearer, more balanced understanding of why SIBO keeps coming back and how to manage it effectively, you’ll get a lot out of this episode.

  • Healing IBS and Other Gut Issues with the Thyroid Pharmacist
    Mar 24 2026

In this episode, Dr. Eric Osansky talks with returning guest Dr. Izabella Wentz about her new book, IBS: Finding and Treating the Root Cause of Irritable Bowel Syndrome. Drawing from both personal experience and clinical insight, Dr. Wentz explains why IBS is often more than just a stress-related diagnosis and how it can serve as an early warning sign of deeper imbalances, including thyroid autoimmunity.

The conversation explores the difference between IBS and inflammatory bowel disease, why some people diagnosed with IBS may actually have celiac disease or IBD, and the many possible root causes behind chronic digestive symptoms. Dr. Wentz discusses food reactions, SIBO, parasites, H. pylori, medications, nutrient deficiencies, thyroid hormone imbalances, stress, and lifestyle factors that can all play a role in gut dysfunction. She also shares why testing matters, why symptom relief is not the same as true resolution, and why approaches like the low FODMAP diet may only be a short-term tool.

This episode gives listeners a broader, more practical understanding of how gut issues connect with immune dysregulation and thyroid health.
