First Person Prepping

Tonight we're talking about radio communications. For a lot of Preppers, Comms is often a topic that’s boring and dry. It’s just not exciting and fun and admittedly, I am one of those Preppers. Like many of you, when the topic of radio comms begins, my eyes start to glaze over and five minutes later, I’m on a beach somewhere wiggling my toes in the sand. Completely mentally disengaged.

And that’s why we invited our guest, Jake from First Person Prepping to come on tonight. You see, Jake Loves radio communications. You can feel his passion when talks shop and he does it in a way that helps Preppers like us stay engaged.

Communications is one of those topics that seems to always be there, right under the surface. From family and friends to members of your Mutual Assistance Groups, from Emergencies to Bartering… we need to be able to communicate to survive. Radios are a great way to do this and certainly the best way during a long-term SHTF situation.

So whether you love it or hate it, As Preppers, we have to do our best to learn the fundamentals of radio comms, and maybe, just maybe, you’ll be the communications subject matter expert in your group that we all turn to when the shit hits the fan.

The Age Of Disclosure Movie on Prime

Tonight we slip on our tin-foil hats and welcome back Bobby Spags to the show, to help us decipher Disclosure and how it affects the Prepper Survivalist community.

Disclosure… there’s that word again. Don’t try to define it; it’s bigger than Webster’s definition. In today’s social media, news, and halls of Congress… Disclosure is a hot topic.

In order to understand Disclosure, we must first understand the Black Swan Event. By definition, a Black Swan event is a highly rare, unpredictable occurrence with massive and severe, widespread consequences that is often inappropriately rationalized in hindsight, as if it could have been foreseen. These extremely rare events, lying far outside normal expectations, defy standard forecasting, causing major systemic disruptions and dramatically impact finance, politics, science, technologies, accademia, and society.

A Black Swan Event, for all intents and purposes, are so improbable, they should not take place… yet occasionally, they do. Covid19… Possible, but highly improbable. Won’t happen in a modern world. Yet it did, and over 7 million lives were lost. The 9/11 attacks on US soil. Could happen, but with multiple threat detection and stop-gap technologies defending the US, it was highly improbable. Won’t happen. Yet it did. Three thousand lives ended, the NY skyline changed forever, and it had a massive impact on global economics.

Black Swan Events… Possible, but highly improbable.

Disclosure is a Black Swan Event… it just hasn’t happened yet.

Seventy percent of Americans believe in Extraterrestrial life… UFOs, UAPs, USOs, Non-Human Intelligence, and Trans-Medium Crafts.

Forty Nine Percent of Americans believe that these Non-Human Intelligence (ETs and Aliens), are not only real… they are in fact, here amongst us and working with world leaders to coexist.

Sounds a little crazy…? Yeah, I’d agree with you.

Disclosure, by definition, is the action of making new or secret information known.

The President of the United States addressing the people of the world to tell them that Aliens are real… That’s Disclosure.

It’s Highly Improbable… Can't be real… Never gonna happen…

It’s a Black Swan Event that could change the world in ways we can’t even conceive of. And thats what we’re talking about tonight.

There’s a lot of noise in the preparedness world these days… hell, most days. You’ve got explosive round-table discussions arguing about size and power, muzzle velocity, hot rounds and penetrating kinetic energy. 45 over a 9 if you want stopping power. 308 instead of 5.56 cuz the 2.23, well it’s just too small… and never go on a scouting run without your 12 gauge.

Big calibers. Tactical setups. Chest rigs that scream… Fallujah, here we come. Everybody is talking about stopping power like they’re planning for world war Z.

And why not talk about such things? I mean we’re not at war. There’s no real-world imminent threat taking place.. We’re not going hungry. Three squares a day. Warm bed at night. Go anywhere, do anything… It’s easy to sit back and talk shop when life is good.

But when SHTF happens, and cities go dark, pantries go dry, and your loved ones are looking to you to get fed…well, the loudest rifle in the room, may not be the smartest one.

Enter… the 22LR. The Garden Gun, Pea Shooter, Pop-Gun, Plinker, the Tick-Licker, yeah, or my personal favorite… the ol’ TooToo.

The .22 doesn’t look impressive. It doesn’t flex for you on Instagram. It won’t punch your shoulder, rattle your teeth, or cause your ears to ring when it’s fired from a gun. What it will do however, is put protein in your belly, it will feed you. Quietly. Efficiently. Consistently.

As Preppers, we all know that every round of ammo you carry has its place in your kit. And that holds true for the humble 22LR.

It’s tiny, unimpressive, and well, sort of cute. But it's also underestimated and often overlooked as an essential tool when the grid goes down.

The 22 rifle is a lightweight tool that’s easy to transport, in some cases can hold upwards of 100 rounds of ammo, it’s great for training new shooters without fear, and reliable enough to keep working long after the noise of the world fades.

Tonight, we’re talking about the rifle that most people underestimate… and why that mistake could cost them when the grid goes down for good.
