Sir Michael Caine knows a thing or two about gangs: whether that’s joining one as a kid, or playing gangsters in movies for over 50 years. Organised crime has captivated pop culture for decades, from the Krays to the Mafia.

Now Caine delves into the real stories behind the gangs we think we know so well, revealing the hidden realities behind the myths. And he throughout the series he asks: can a gang ever truly be ‘successful’?

Fascinating look into gangs

Few of us like to admit that the violence and mayhem are interesting and some of us admire some of these criminals for what they can accomplish.

Michael Caine

my only critical point would be the choice of putting background music every 30 seconds. But this is more than made up with Michael Caine's smooth buttery voice.

Eye opening

Wonderfully done. I was especially touched by the last episode. Tracy Miller made for a compelling listen. I'm happy that her life has turned out for the best.

Loved this series

This was awesome, Michael Caine does a remarkable job of telling it like it was and helping you to go inside some of the worlds most notorious gangs....I hope there is another season, I went through all six episodes in one setting.

Skip the half hour SJW sociology harangue

Inserted into this segment is a politically correct lecture from some humorless academic. The points she makes could have easily been made within a minute or so. However her segment is droning, race shaming repetition so it feels more like attempted mind control. It makes me want to run down the center aisle and hurl a hammer through the screen. Caine makes the same point with his genteel elocution later. Skip the harangue and don’t look back.
