Love ❤️ thy Neighbor: Dead Parents Can’t Bless you‼️Treat Your Living Parents Well
By Pastor and Mrs Chifamba
Proverbs 23:24-25
“The father of the righteous will greatly rejoice, And he who begets a wise child will delight in him. Let your father and your mother be glad, And let her who bore you rejoice.”
WHEN YOU MAKE YOUR PARENTS HAPPY THEY WILL BLESS YOU
Genesis 27:1-4
“Now it came to pass, when Isaac was old and his eyes were so dim that he could not see, that he called Esau his older son and said to him, “My son.” And he answered him, “Here I am.” Then he said, “Behold now, I am old. I do not know the day of my death. Now therefore, please take your weapons, your quiver and your bow, and go out to the field and hunt game for me. And make me savory food, such as I love, and bring it to me that I may eat, that my soul may bless you before I die.”
IT IS THE LIVING PARENTS THAT HAVE CAPACITY TO BLESS, TREAT THEM WELL DON’T CAUSE THEM PAIN AND SORROW
Proverbs 10:1
“The proverbs of Solomon: A wise son makes a glad father, But a foolish son is the grief of his mother.”
Proverbs 17:25
“A foolish son is a grief to his father, And bitterness to her who bore him.”
Proverbs 30:11
“There is a generation that curses its father, And does not bless its mother.”
Proverbs 30:17
“The eye that mocks his father, And scorns obedience to his mother, The ravens of the valley ….
Deuteronomy 27:16 ESV
“‘Cursed be anyone who dishonors his father or his mother.’ And all the people shall say, ‘Amen.’”
God cannot prosper those who go directly contrary to the plainest duty specified in His word, the duty of children to their parents.... If they disrespect and dishonor their earthly parents, they will not respect and love their Creator. – {Adventist Home p. 293.2}
Ephesians 6:1-3 NKJV
“Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right. “Honor your father and mother,” which is the first commandment with promise: “that it may be well with you and you may live long on the earth.”
DEAD PARENTS NO LONGER HAVE THE CAPACITY TO BLESS OR CURSE‼️DEATH IS THE LAND OF FORGETFULNESS
Psalm 88:10-12
“Will You work wonders for the dead? Shall the dead arise and praise You? Shall Your lovingkindness be declared in the grave? Or Your faithfulness in the place of destruction? Shall Your wonders be known in the dark? And Your righteousness in the land of forgetfulness?”
Ecclesiastes 9:4-6 NKJV
“But for him who is joined to all the living there is hope, for a living dog is better than a dead lion. For the living know that they will die; But the dead know nothing, And they have no more reward, For the memory of them is forgotten. Also their love, their hatred, and their envy have now perished; Nevermore will they have a share In anything done under the sun.”
Job 7:9-10 NKJV
“As the cloud disappears and vanishes away, So he who goes down to the grave does not come up. He shall never return to his house, Nor shall his place know him anymore.”
ONLY AFTER THE RESURRECTION WILL THE DEAD PARENTS LIVE AGAIN
John 5:28-29
“Do not marvel at this; for the hour is coming in which all who are in the graves will hear His voice and come forth—those who have done good, to the resurrection of life, and those who have done evil, to the resurrection of condemnation.”
Job 14:14
If a man die, shall he live again? all the days of my appointed time will I wait, till my change come. 15Thou shalt call, and I will answer thee: thou wilt have a desire to the work of thine hands.
1 Thessalonians 4:16-18
For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: 17Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. 18Wherefore comfort one another with these words.
