  • New "Accessories", Getting Older, News, & More | S14E19
    Apr 2 2026

Welcome back to YOUR Wednesday night conversation.

This week, we had one of those episodes that starts playful and honest… and then slowly opens up into something deeper.

We kicked things off just being ourselves — joking, getting ready on camera, figuring things out in real time — and reminding everyone that this space is exactly that: real, unfiltered, and ours.

Then we moved into our “Just the Tip” segment, and this one hit. We talked about getting older — what that actually feels like, not just physically, but mentally and emotionally. We got real about being closer to 50 than 40, how our bodies are changing, how our energy shifts, and how that forces you to think about things like time, mortality, and what really matters.

But it wasn’t heavy for the sake of being heavy.

We talked about choosing joy anyway. Still traveling. Still performing. Still doing the things we love — even if we need a little ibuprofen and sunscreen to get through it. We talked about friendships, about showing up for people, and about not letting comfort or fear keep us from living fully.

From there, we shifted into current events — and there was a lot to unpack.

    We covered:

    • TSA workers are owed over $1 billion due to the government shutdown
    • Supreme Court decisions impacting conversion therapy laws
    • Ongoing legal battles around birthright citizenship
    • Immigration rulings affecting thousands of people
    • Anti-drag legislation moving forward in Ohio
    • LGBTQ+ history moments and wins, including trans excellence on national stages
    • Global progress toward ending HIV

And as always, we balanced it — calling out what’s not okay while still recognizing moments of progress and resilience.

This episode is a reminder that we’re all figuring it out as we go.

  • We're Back, Two Week Recap, Headlines, and More
    Mar 26 2026

Welcome back to YOUR Wednesday night conversation!

This week on Live! with Fefe & Freddy, we came back with a full two-week catch-up and a whole lot to say.

We started by getting into life updates. Freddy shared about his anniversary trip to Universal — from Super Nintendo World to the struggle with all those 3D rides — and the chaos of getting to Tucson for WWWC after forgetting props (and basically everything else). Despite the heat and the hurdles, the show turned out amazing, and the weekend was full of reconnecting with the community.

I kept it real on my side too — busy as always, but we had an incredible time at Irish Tea Drag Bingo at Drink Me! Tea Room. It was one of those events where the energy, the laughs, and the celebration just hit the right note.

Then we moved into current events, and… whew.

We talked about the impact of a government shutdown affecting TSA and how quickly things escalated when ICE stepped in. We unpacked how that felt, what it says about priorities, and why it raised eyebrows for us.

    We also covered:

    • A wild and tragic criminal case involving an athlete
    • A major lawsuit where a jury found Meta and YouTube liable for contributing to social media addiction and mental health harm
    • A political shift where a Democrat flipped a Republican-held seat in Florida
    • A major loss in our community with the death of Black trans activist and performer Shyyell Diamond Sanchez-McCray

And yes — we had to take a moment to honor that.

  • State of Dilemmas, Gay Prime Ministers, Headlines, and More | S14E16
    Feb 26 2026

Welcome back to YOUR Wednesday night conversation!

This week, we had a packed show — from weekend recaps and books we love, to serious headlines and some truly powerful moments in culture and politics.

We kicked things off by catching you up on life. Freddy shared about working on costumes for the upcoming fundraiser and WWWC, plus being home-bound while his partner was sick. I talked about a chill Saturday and then Sunday’s Chismimosa at Testal benefiting Phoenix Allies for Community Health — drag bingo, dance music, and reconnecting with folks who remembered us from past shows (and yes, I absolutely laughed when someone got bingo wrong).

Then in “Just the Tip,” we talked about books. We got honest about how we used to be voracious readers and how we’re trying to get back into reading more consistently. We shared why reading still matters — reducing stress, boosting empathy, improving memory — and we gave you a long list of favorite authors and titles, from fantasy and sci-fi to historical fiction and queer classics. We talked about everything from Watership Down to Tipping the Velvet, Anne Rice’s Pandora, and why graphic novels like Elfquest still hit emotionally every time.

We were joined by Brandon McGill, who shared about current projects, dream collaborations, legacy goals, and what’s next creatively. It was thoughtful, grounded, and inspiring.

    In Current Events, we covered:

    • The State of the Union and the protest moment involving Congressman Al Green.

    • Companies like FedEx pushing back over tariffs.

    • An Amber Alert case that ended safely thanks to everyday people paying attention.

    • An update on a missing person case in Arizona.

    • The Netherlands swearing in its youngest and first openly gay Prime Minister, Rob Jetten.

    • A Black queer animated short film winning a BAFTA.

    • Mariah Carey’s Rock & Roll Hall of Fame nomination (again!).

    • Spectrum Medical expanding LGBTQ+ healthcare services here in Phoenix.

As always, we balanced community, culture, accountability, and laughter — because that’s what we do.

Thank you for showing up with us.

  • Queer History Before WWII, An Icon Passes, Headlines & More
    Feb 19 2026

It was one of those nights — tech glitches, corset struggles, and all — but we made it through with heart, humor, and important conversations.

This week on Live! with Fefe & Freddy, we cover:

    Queer History Prior to WWII
Before Stonewall, before Pride parades, before rainbow capitalism — queer people were building communities, writing literature, opening research institutes, and fighting criminalization. From Oscar Wilde and his 1895 trial, to Berlin’s thriving queer scene under the Weimar Republic, to the groundbreaking work of Magnus Hirschfeld and his Institute of Sexual Research, we explore the rich (and often erased) LGBTQ+ history that existed long before WWII.

We also highlight the Harlem Renaissance and figures like Gladys Bentley and Langston Hughes, along with lesbian literary icon Radclyffe Hall — and discuss how LGBTQ+ icons can be both groundbreaking and problematic.

Black History Month & A Civil Rights IconWe reflect on Black History Month and the passing of civil rights activist Jesse Jackson at 84. We also asked our audience: What Black historical figure do you carry with you? Names like Martin Luther King Jr., James Baldwin, Maya Angelou, and Shirley Chisholm came up — and the conversation was powerful.

Weekend Recap & Pop Culture TeaFefe hosted Queen of Hearts Drag Bingo and received a sweet “You Are Safe With Me” pin. Freddy judged Pride Day at the Ren Faire and shared the heartbreaking news of saying goodbye to his beloved cat.

    We also dive into:

    • The reboot of The 'Burbs (now starring Keke Palmer and Jack Whitehall)

    • The explosive Netflix documentary Inside America’s Next Top Model and Tyra’s attempt at redemption

    • Updates in LGBTQ+ healthcare in Phoenix

It’s messy. It’s meaningful. It’s your Wednesday night conversation.

  • Freddy Flies Solo, Just the Tip, Headlines, and More
    Jan 30 2026

This week on Live! with Fefe & Freddy, Freddy flies solo for a candid, unfiltered Wednesday night conversation. With Felicia out for work, Freddy takes listeners through a relaxed check-in that quickly turns into a deeply personal and politically charged episode.

Freddy shares stories from a surprisingly quiet weekend, including an unintentionally over-sedated date night, solo kitchen adventures involving limoncello, lemonade, and an overwhelming number of backyard lemons, and family time in Arizona. The tone shifts as Freddy moves into a powerful “Just the Tip” segment that addresses current political violence, ICE raids, protests, and the growing pressure people feel to perform activism online.

The episode wraps with headlines and commentary on TikTok’s U.S. sale and censorship concerns, Oscar nominations and voting rule changes, and real-time community responses to ICE raids in Arizona. Freddy emphasizes nuance, safety, and sustainability in resistance — reminding listeners that showing up looks different for everyone.

  • Special Guest: Brandon McGill, Finding Peace, and more
    Jan 22 2026

This week on Live! with Fefe & Freddy, we welcomed back multi-talented artist Brandon McGill for a thoughtful and honest conversation about creativity, connection, and finding peace. We caught up on Brandon’s latest projects, creative goals, and what kind of work feels most meaningful to them right now.

In Just the Tip, we took a deeper look at relationship fluidity in platonic relationships. We talked about how friendships change over time, how some relationships grow closer while others fade, and why the loss of a friendship can hurt just as much — or more — than a romantic breakup. The conversation centered on chosen family, emotional honesty, and permitting ourselves to grieve evolving connections.

This episode blends personal stories, creative reflection, and community conversation, offering space to think about how we show up for ourselves and each other.
