  • 🎙️ NEW EPISODE – Stop Criticizing & Judging Our Kids
    Mar 6 2026

On our latest episode of Feathered In Grace & Armor, Gina and I dive into a realization that many parents eventually face…

It might be time to stop criticizing, judging, and inserting our opinions into our kids’ lives.

When our children become adults, something has to change in us as parents. What we often think is “helpful advice” can actually come across as criticism, and before we know it, that criticism begins to close the door on communication.

The truth is… letting go is hard.

As parents, we simply don’t want them to make the same mistakes we made. We want to protect them. Guide them. Help them avoid pain. But sometimes our good intentions send the wrong message.

In this episode we talk about how our role as parents eventually needs to shift:

    👉 From Director… to Advisor.
And even then… only when they ask.

One verse that really hit home for me is James 1:19:

"Everyone should be quick to listen, slow to speak, and slow to become angry."

Maybe that wisdom applies not just to strangers… but to our own kids too.

We also talk about something bigger—how easy it is to become critical and judgmental of the people around us. Instead of trying to fix everyone else, maybe the better path is to get our own house right with God and strive to live more godly ourselves.

Chadd even shares a moment where a non-believer said something that stuck with him:

"If people would just read the Bible more and actually live by it, this world would be a better place."

    Hard to argue with that.

If you're a parent of young adults, or someone who has struggled with knowing when to speak and when to listen, this episode may really resonate with you.

    Feb 28 2026

🎙️ New Episode – This one starts off a little raw, a little unfiltered… and completely real—just the way life is sometimes. But it quickly turns into a powerful reminder about the importance of showing up for your people.

In this episode of Feathered in Grace & Armor, Chadd & Gina share stories from their recent trip back to Indy, including pulling off a surprise for Rachael’s 30th birthday that she never saw coming. 🎉 They also talk about the joy of reconnecting over dinner and laughter with close friends Taya & Michael, and spending meaningful time with Rick & Mandy, and Matt & Shannon.

This episode is fun, heartfelt, and a challenge to all of us:
Who are your people… and how are you showing up for them?

  • Feathered In Grace & Armor Episode "Is Love Enough?"
    Feb 23 2026

In this powerful and thought-provoking episode of Feathered in Grace & Armor, Chadd & Gina tackle a question every couple eventually faces: Is love enough?

Is it enough to simply say “I love you”… or is love something that must be lived out through action every single day?

Together, they challenge listeners to take an honest look at their own relationships and ask: How am I making love visible? How am I making love felt? Especially within the complexity of a blended family, where love isn’t always automatic, they explore what it means to choose love intentionally—for your spouse, your children, and even the relationships that require extra grace.

Grounded in Scripture, Gina reflects on biblical truths that remind us love is more than words—it’s patience, sacrifice, forgiveness, and commitment in motion.

This episode is an invitation to move beyond saying love… and start demonstrating it.

Because in the end, love isn’t just something you feel.
    Love is something you do.
