Way back in 1897 Michigan, Martha Haney's struggle with her own illness reached the point of no return when she lashed out against an easy target, her 85 year old mother in law Mariah Haney. Alaina found this crazy tale while stumbling upon the writings of Rod Sadler, a retired police officer and true crime writer who has a very personal connection to this particular case. This is so weird, I was looking for true crime books on amazon and found this book so I added it to my cart, and then this podcast episode came on after listening to one of your other episodes. Crazy!

5 minutes in and the F-bomb was dropped twice

I would have loved to have started listening to this podcast, but was immediately turned off by the narrators-two young women-dropping F-bombs before they even got started with the story. Why can’t grown ups use the English language without profanity?
