  • #725 - Coward Commits; Maluach Declares
    Apr 29 2025
We’re back with Episode 725, as Scott Rich joins Donald and we get a brief report from Jason live from Japan! Cedric Coward has committed to the Duke Blue Devils via the transfer portal, and we’re very excited about all the possibilities. We give a rundown of some of his game and what he could bring to the Blue Devils. He’s still navigating a shoulder injury and the NBA Draft process, but should he come back to college, it could be as a 2nd or 3rd scoring option for Duke. We then get into Khaman Maluach declaring for the NBA Draft, and Scott and Donald take the time to discuss how much fun it was to watch him develop this year. He brought some exciting moments and he will be someone that can do very well at the next level. We cloes out with a report that the ACC has decided to go from 20 conference games to 18 in order to give teams more opportunities to schedule marquee non-conference schedules. We think that the ACC is not addressing the issues it faced this season in the right way. Make sure you’re following us! • #724 - Continuity Confirmed: Duke Fends Off The Transfer Portal
    Apr 23 2025
We’re back with Episode 724, and Scott Rich is back to join Donald as they discuss the close of the transfer portal entry deadline! The portal is closed to new entrants, and Jon Scheyer has successfully kept some continuity on the roster. Isaiah Evans, Maliq Brown, Darren Harris, and Patrick Ngongba will all be back with the Duke Blue Devils next season, and we discuss how welcome a sight that is. In a world where the portal affects everyone, Duke is one of the few power conference teams to not lose any of their main rotation players to the portal. While Duke could look to add a final piece or two, the certain thing is that Scheyer wanted continuity...and he got it. After the break, the two men from Michigan discuss the report that Duke could be playing Michigan in February 2026 in DC. Of course, Donald is happy about the Blue Devils being down the street from him, but we look at the potential matchup and how Jon Scheyer is trying to test his guys with these marquee games. We close with a salute to the life of Mike Patrick, who passed away at age 80 a few days ago. Make sure you’re following us! • #723 - Cooper Flagg and Tyrese Proctor depart for the NBA
    Apr 21 2025
Episode 723 is a sad one as we say goodbye to three Duke Blue Devils who are either headed to the NBA or entering the transfer portal as a grad transfer. Jordan Brenner from the Underdogs Podcast joins Donald with Jason still out on international duty. The big story is Cooper Flagg officially announcing that he is leaving Duke for the NBA, where he will presumably be the #1 pick in the NBA Draft in June. We look back at his historic year where he was the best player in college basketball and was just a ton of fun to watch. Jordan and Donald discuss which teams could be a good or intriguing fit for Cooper as he heads to the next level. We also touch on Tyrese Proctor declaring for the NBA Draft. He had a monster year for Duke, a redemption year for the Aussie assassin. He is a player who NBA teams really do need and we look forward to seeing who decides to take him. The 3 and D attributes only tell some of the tale about how he can impact a franchise. Finally, Stanley Borden will graduate from Duke next month, and he has decided to take a graduate year somewhere else. Despite not scoring a point for Duke, he was a fan favorite, and we show him some love as he departs the program to try and get some playing time in his final year of eligibility.
