ANDREA KENNEDY Host of Beyond the Reiki Gateway and Founder of Mainstream reiki Hello, I'm Andrea Kennedy Spiritually Curious Reiki Master Instructor, Mentor Founder of Mainstream Reiki and the Mainstream Reiki Community Practicing Reiki Since 1995 and exploring spirituality ever since. Like most people, I'm a regular person, and you might even say I am ‘mainstream.’ I have always been extremely curious and yearned to solve the big mysteries of who we are and why we are here. I earned a Bachelor of Science in Physics and realized, this did not get me much closer to answering these questions. Out of pure curiosity, I completed a Reiki I class in 1995. I was initially deeply skeptical of energy healing but figured I had nothing to lose by experimenting and learning about it. I didn’t feel anything worth noting during or as a result of the class or the attunement I received from my teacher; however, when I offered Reiki to others, they reported positive changes and sensations of energy in their bodies. This kept my curiosity alive regarding Reiki, but it wasn't until four years later that I continued my Reiki education. During a pivotal trip to Egypt, I had a profound experience receiving a clear message to continue my Reiki training. Following this guidance, I received my Reiki Master certificate in 1999. As I practiced, I opened up to trust the energy and began letting go of my analytical approach. Through my experiences, my understanding of Reiki deepened. Due to my positive experiences and results with Reiki, my curiosity expanded beyond it. I wanted to know what else I could do with energy. I studied numerous healing modalities, completed as many courses as possible, and read countless books on spiritual and psychic development, consciousness, and all related topics that piqued my interest. I kept Reiki as my foundation throughout, and my practice grew. I began volunteering Reiki, then added professional Reiki sessions and taught Reiki to others. More recently, I began the popular Mainstream Reiki YouTube channel, the Beyond the Reiki Gateway podcast, and opened the Mainstream Reiki Community to help offer a supportive place for like-minded Reiki people to gather, practice, and continue learning. following website links:
