  • Why Darwin was Right: The 222nd Evolutionary Lens with Bret Weinstein and Heather Heying
    Apr 24 2024

In this 222nd in a series of live discussions with Bret Weinstein and Heather Heying (both PhDs in Biology), we talk about the state of the world through an evolutionary lens.

In this episode, we discuss evolution, and how we know that it is true. We discuss the different kinds of beliefs that people have—beliefs that attempt to reconcile with reality, vs beliefs that reconcile with social standing and comfort. If your beliefs put you on the outs with your friends, do you change your beliefs, or your friends? Are you willing to give up the cocktail party for reality? We also discuss research published in 2000 and funded by Fauci’s NIAID, which demonstrated that it was possible to make chimeric coronaviruses, swapping the spike protein from one to a different species entirely. Finally: sex-biased gene expression, in which genes are expressed differently in the two sexes, in anatomical systems as varied as brain, kidneys, and liver.

  • The Untold Story of Polio – Forrest Maready on DarkHorse
    Apr 20 2024

Forrest Maready is the author of “The Moth in the Iron Lung”, among other books. It tells a very different story of the Polio epidemic than the one you are likely familiar with, a story with radically different implications for health and medicine. Bret talks with Forest about his book and his interpretation of the evidence with an evolutionary bent to the conversation.

  • Babies Not on the Level: The 221st Evolutionary Lens with Bret Weinstein and Heather Heying
    Apr 17 2024

One month free DarkHorse Locals: https://darkhorse.locals.com/support/promo/DARKHORSE1MONTH

In this 221st in a series of live discussions with Bret Weinstein and Heather Heying (both PhDs in Biology), we talk about the state of the world through an evolutionary lens.

In this episode, we discuss men competing against women in women’s sport, and the new research that shows there’s no problem at all. We are in a world of science cosplay, full of science skin suits. Then: cancel culture and its mirror image: promotion culture. The promotion of zombies to positions of power is a weapon of the culture. Also, if wisdom is about delayed gratification, and the counter-intuitive, and being comfortable with uncertainty, then we are in a society of deeply unwise people, a society led by people with the minds of children—just like in The Twilight Zone. Finally: how cats and humans communicate with one another by narrowing our eyes at each other.

Great Podcast

The podcast is very informational; scientific data with a human touch. Love you guys! I barely heard of you a few months ago from the Joe Rogan interview and I immediately found you on Spotify and I wait for all of your podcasts now. I am very happy to have stumbled across you. You two are real in a very upside down world. God bless you and yours.

Some interesting stuff

Check his wikipedia page for more information about this most interesting podcaster. Glad there are contrarians out there presenting alternative views, but it is always a good idea to check the primary sources. I'd especially recommend the TWIV podcast for information about viruses and ivermectin in particular since these are actual virologists who know their stuff.

This is what real science is about! Questioning, reasoning, putting forvard hypothesis and looking at them from different angles.

The Truth

It’s refreshing to hear doctors and scientists tell the truth somewhere. Thank you to Bret Weinstein and Heather Heying for having the guts to tell The Truth. I will forever be in your debt.

Great comfort in hearing their podcast

Even though topic matter can be tense, Bret and Heather are some of the most eloquent, compassionate and courageous journalists we have the good fortune to have access to. They are exceptionally driven by integrity and in so doing are inspiring for listeners, especially after so many others have buckled to the dictates of the media.

Bret and Heather Are Absolutely Illuminating

Bret and Heather are two incredibly smart and well intentioned scientists who shine a light on the scientific world, and help us who are not involved understand the struggles and politics that play underneath the cover of science. They examine papers and hypothesis that for some reason get ignored by the mainstream, and ask questions that are both intriguing and worrisome. Of all my podcasts this one I feel keeps me the most educated, and helps me see the world of science from a less pedestrian point of view.

Intelligent and profound source of real and important information

Thank you Bret. I can’t tell you how grateful I am for all the work you are doing broadcasting such important information that most people don’t have access to, or time to find, or even the ability to dissect. I share this with everyone and I hope more people tune into DHP. Mahalo nui

Non-corrupt information distributor

While Dr. Weinstein is an individual with an idiosyncratic perspective, the content of this podcast should serve as a model of careful, thoroughly reasonable, information distribution; a practice all too rare in contemporary US.
