After someone we love dies, it’s hard to get them off our minds — especially if we didn’t get the chance to say everything we needed to. But for some people, the conversation doesn’t die when their loved one does. Comedian and TV writer Jourdain Fisher confronts his fear of witches and visits Lynn Swain of Magik Craft — a woman in his hometown who speaks to the dead… and owns a handful of cauldrons and wands, too.

Wish there was more!

I LOVED this series! Our society is so weird when it comes to dealing with death in real-life (despite our obsession with the macabre, usually in the form of murder mysteries or true-crime tales) and grief is so universal and yet such an individual experience. The overarching message is that we should learn to communicate with each other about death in a more productive and less secretive and shameful way. It’s a universal reality for all of us, after all, and there is a lot of beauty in that! I love how every episode is quite different. My favorites were the episodes that talked about death doulas, taxidermy, and those in the profession of crime scene/biohazard clean-up!

I really needed this

Within the first 5 minutes im hooked. It thoughtfully and humorously accepts that death will occur. very interesting people sharing good stories. thank you for making this podcast, expressing openly the fear of death and finding meaning through humor and wisdom.
"can you distinguish the difference between a eulogy and an obituary for me?" the response is cracking me up so hard.
