This episode of Ayahuasca Confidential is a solo monologue describing why and how I, "Johnny X," decided to throw caution to the wind and go down to the Amazon Jungle for 3 weeks to take Ayahuasca... one of the world's most powerful psychedelic substances, used by the Shaman of the Amazon Rainforest for 5,000 years.

"Johnny X" leaves his hotel in Iquitos, Peru and travels downriver to the Ayahuasca retreat... and does his first Ayahuasca session.

Episode 3 covers my 2nd Ayahuasca Session (a break through)... as well as my Kambo session (a body healing drug made of poisonous frog venom... that makes you feel like you are going to die), and my Rapeh session (a bizzare substance that is blown up your nose (and makes you feel like you are going to die)).

In this episode of the podcast, "Johnny X" and company take their 3rd Ayahuasca Ceremony, and things get a little darker (Diego X refused to go back to his room after a "Dark Monster" chased him out of the room, and a facilitator had to stay with him for 5 hours, etc.). "Johnny X" felt he (I) was being watched by strange dark spirits who were trying to help steal from him... in an apparent open eyed hallucination, but that wasn't clear until the next morning. Strange stuff, but until you face these things, you can't heal.

In this episode, new people arrive at the retreat for their one week stay, and I have my 4th session. A real positive experience that helped me see a way forward toward peace.

My 5th session was marred by the revalation that there was a Giant Tarantula loose in the guest houses. I refused to go back in the building until I was assured that it was removed. And, after vowing to never do Kambo and Rapeh after the intense experience last week... I did both again. Once you get past the crazy way it all reacts in your body, you feel good and you forget the truama and go back for more.

In Episode 7, we take a look at my 6th and 7th sessions and how session 7 restored my faith somewhat in the process. I learned to not have expectations and tried a new way of thinking as I am laying there waiting for Ayahuasca to kick in.
