  • Arsecast Extra Episode 644 - 18.06.2025
    Jun 18 2025

In this episode we're back from holidays to talk about all the nothing that has gone on in the last week. Arsenal are still interested in Victor Gyokeres and Benjamin Sesko, but with no 'concrete' developments – not even in the language of transfers. We chat about the new Premier League fixtures which were released today and which provide us with what looks like a challenging start to the new season, and news that Carlos Cuesta is set to leave. How will Mikel Arteta choose to replace him? Part 2 is almost entirely taken up by our summer transfer predictions – who comes in, who goes out, how much do we spend and how much will we bring in through sales? As ever, we're likely miles off but it's just a bit of fun!

  • Arsenal Women Arsecast 127: Mailbag and Finding the First South Asian Lioness
    Jun 18 2025

In this episode of the Arsenal Women Arsecast, in part 1 Tim and Jamie take some of your questions on the future of the midfield, how Arsenal tackle five competitions next season and how seriously they’ll take the FIFA Women’s Champions Cup, transfers (obviously) and Tim and Jamie chat about links with Taylor Hinds and the negotiation with Chloe Kelly.

In part 2, Tim talks to broadcaster Marva Kreel about the new Copa 90 documentary ‘Finding the First South Asian Lioness’, which Marva presents. They talk about the making of the documentary, Marva’s own experiences playing football when she was younger, some of the subjects they didn’t have time to go into in the documentary around South Asian representation and whether there is hope for things to change for the next generation.

You can (and should) watch the documentary here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jy944wVYxUw

Tim also spoke to Aman Dosanj, Arsenal’s first and (so far) only South Asian player in January 2024 for episode 75, which you can listen to here: https://arseblog.news/2024/01/arsenal-women-arsecast-episode-75-exclusive-aman-dosanj-interview/

Tim also spoke to Miriam Walker Khan and Nirali Sisodia about South Asian girls participation and some of the barriers for episode 76, which you can listen to here: https://arseblog.news/2024/01/arsenal-women-arsecast-episode-75-exclusive-aman-dosanj-interview/

Tim spoke to Natasha Henry, Annemarie Batson and Pippa Monique about a lack of ethnic diversity in women’s football coverage for episode 19, which you can listen to here: https://arseblog.news/2020/12/the-arsenal-women-arsecast-episode-19-skin-in-the-game/

  • Arsecast Extra Episode 643 - 09.06.2025
    Jun 9 2025

In this episode we're in pre-holiday mood, discussing solitary confinement before moving onto the Martin Zubimendi Real Madrid rumours. Is that something to worry about? After that we discuss the deal to bring in Kepa Arrizabalaga from Chelsea to deputise for David Raya and maybe bring an end to goalkeeping drama every summer, Gabriel's new contract and what that says, and Andrea Berta's Italian style. Then we have listener questions about 3 forward signings and what that might mean for Martinelli, Mikel Arteta's tactical position in this era of coaching, the player ratings game, and lots more.

This is the last podcast until next week as we're both going on holidays. We love you, but a week off isn't too much to ask! Talk to you when we get back. ❤️
