  • Of My Own Making From Daria Burke The Art Of Repairing Yourself Is Real
    May 3 2025
An award-winning business leader and speaker shares her journey of uncovering years of childhood trauma through scientific modalities like epigenetics, neuroplasticity, and decades of therapy. Daria Burke’s childhood growing up under the shadow of an absent father and a mother debilitated by drug addiction was marked by neglect and poverty. Despite these fractured beginnings, she forges a triumphant path out of Detroit and into fashion’s C-Suite. After ten years of therapy, she believes her healing journey is complete. When she discovers a photograph of the car accident that she believes altered the course of her early life, Burke is forced to confront the parts of her childhood she had avoided. This discovery sparks a four-year immersion into neuroplasticity, epigenetics, the impact of adverse childhood experiences on early brain development, and ultimately, why some of us remain stuck in past trauma while others experience post-traumatic growth. She dives headfirst into an exploration of her trauma, grappling with the enduring grip of the past on the present and the mind’s influence over the body.Burke’s lyrical account of a life lived with courage and intention offers an empathetic and hard-won perspective on the nature versus nurture debate and the power of acceptance. Part memoir, part methodology, it is a fearless rallying cry inspiring us to excavate and examine the stories that define our lives. Ultimately, the narratives that we craft with our own hands are the only ones that matter.

  • The Daily Mess Why Do Dogs Wake Us Up Early Plus Is It A Cold Or Allergies
    May 3 2025
I’m always asking questions. The fun begins when you start researching for answers. Such as…

Why do dogs wake us up so early in the morning? Plus… is it a cold or allergies?

I’m Arroe… I am a daily writer. A silent wolf. I stand on the sidelines and do nothing but watch, listen study then activate.
I call it The Daily Mess. A chronological walk through an everyday world.
Yes, it’s my morning writing. As a receiver of thoughts and ideas, we as people tend to throw it to the side and deal with it later.
When a subject arrives, I dig in. It’s still keeping a journal! By doing the research the picture becomes clearer.
    This is the Daily Mess…

  • The Rambo Report 5 Films 3 Books One Legend Writer Producer And Journalist Nat Segaloff
    May 2 2025
The ultimate guide to the Rambo phenomenon-from bestselling novel to Hollywood blockbuster to all-American hero, legend, and icon-written with the full cooperation of Rambo's creator, bestselling author David Morrell . . .
From the beginning, Rambo was more than a character in a 1972 novel by David Morrell. He was the culmination of the author's personal encounters with veterans returning from the Vietnam War. The 1982 movie adaptation of First Blood reflected the novel's powerful insights into a troubled veteran's post-war experience. Then in 1985, the film's explosive sequel Rambo: First Blood Part II transformed the character into something shockingly different. With a focus on blood-and-guts action-and the beefed-up muscles of Sylvester Stallone-Rambo became an invincible one-man army. A new kind of hero for a new day in America. A full-blown pop-culture icon as controversial as he was crowd-pleasing-blasting his way through the most influential action film franchise in Hollywood history . . .
    The Rambo legend was born.
Five feature films. Three novels. Seven video games. Countless comic books, action figures, and even an animated TV show for kids. The Rambo machine has been as unstoppable as Rambo himself. Now for the first time, Hollywood insider Nat Segaloff digs deep into the man, the myth, and the massive impact of the phenomenon known as "The Rambo Effect." Packed with behind-the-scenes anecdotes, sharp cultural insights, and ongoing debates about violence in the media, this is an explosive no-holds-barred report from the front lines of Hollywood myth-making. A must-read for Rambo fans, movies buffs, and anyone interested in American culture.
