American Fork: Cavettes earned 3rd place at Regional 3 drill meet. Also received an academic award for having a majority of the team with a 3.75 GPA. Squiff!

Utah: Utah man held victims hostage inside Riverton home. The victims didn’t seem to be in distress, despite being threatened by the culprit. The sword wielder was shot, but not killed.

National: The inauguration came and went without a hitch. Trump thought, “It was the greatest inauguration, some say I was the best ever to be inaugurated in all of inaugurating. It was a terrific inauguration.” A lot of executive orders signed on day 1. Anchor babies are no longer a thing. The Musk Nazi salute seen around the world. Snoop went back on his word and basically roasted himself. Carrie Underwood nails it a cappella. TikTok left and came back so bigly. Fires in California. Joe Biden pardoned the J6 committee before he left.

Man on meth ends his parents’ lives. Don’t do drugs or kill your family. Speaking of meth, a hispanic man from Illinois arrested in Utah with 100 pounds of meth in his car.

National: Cybertruck bomber #MatthewLivelsberger sent emails to high-profile news and podcast influencers, including @shawnryanshow and @joeroganexperience, just days before the incident, warning them of potential world war technology and military crime cover-ups. That China is poised to attack the east coast of the United States. FBI has yet to confirm the body inside the truck was Livelsberger. Two men found dead of exposure while looking for Big Foot @sasquatch.

World: COVID repaired the hole in the ozone layer. Guess that’s what Fauci was going for. He should get the Pulitzer Prize.

Galactic: Space isn’t real.

Tangent: A beached whale was blown up into a million pieces in the 1980’s. Phil laughed a lot at that.

American Fork: The house explosion in AF earlier this year was preventable, due to a gas leak from a valve left open by a worker earlier.

Utah: Utah woman pardoned by President Biden of federal wrongdoings. Stevoni Wells Doyle, 47, was unconditionally pardoned of federal felony charges. Doyle was once addicted to methamphetamine and served two years in federal prison after pleading guilty to drug possession and check forging charges.

National: Supreme Court hears case on trans kids. According to scotusblog.com,“During almost two-and-a-half hours of debate on Wednesday, nearly all of the court’s conservative majority expressed skepticism about a challenge to Tennessee’s ban on puberty blockers and hormone therapy for transgender teenagers. Three transgender teens, their families, and a Memphis physician, along with the Biden administration, contend that the law violates the Constitution’s guarantee of equal protection and should be examined with the higher degree of legal scrutiny required in such cases. But Tennessee counters that it is simply exercising its power to regulate the practice of medicine for all youth and is not distinguishing based on a patient’s sex.” Should the federal government allow minors to be able to decide to get surgery to assist in changing their gender? Are we doing the gay community a dis-service by looping them in with the trans community? Also, Jay-Z caught up in the Diddy situation. Any surprise there? Is this just a case of ‘guilty by association’?

World: Defense fund established by supporters of suspected CEO killer Luigi Mangione tops $100K. Is CEO Brian Thompson a martyr? Or, is Mangione correct? Are insurance companies to blame for his crime? Also, #drones drones drones. What are they? Is it the government?
