  • Courage in a Culture of Compromise | Kirk Cameron | Ep. 41
    Nov 4 2025

Bethany and Adam sit down with actor and author Kirk Cameron for an honest conversation about courage, parenting, and faith. From growing up in Hollywood to becoming a husband, dad of six, and now a grandpa, Kirk has learned what it means to go against the current and stand for truth.

In this episode, they talk about the challenges of raising kids in today’s culture, the beauty (and struggles) of homeschooling, and why the daily fight to stay grounded in God’s Word is worth it. Kirk shares wisdom from his own family’s journey, along with encouragement for parents who want to raise children who know who they are in Christ.

If you’ve ever felt the pull to compromise your values, this episode will remind you that courage isn’t just for the big moments; it’s for the everyday choices that shape who we become.

    Guest Bio:

Kirk Cameron is a well-known actor, filmmaker, and author who first rose to fame as Mike Seaver on the hit TV sitcom Growing Pains. Once an outspoken atheist, Kirk came to faith in Jesus Christ as a young man and has since dedicated his life to sharing the hope of the gospel. Alongside his wife, Chelsea, he has raised six children, advocated for homeschooling, and created faith-based films including Fireproof and Lifemark.

Kirk is also a children’s author with Brave Books, where his titles like As You Grow and Pride Comes Before the Fall point kids toward biblical truth. Most recently, he launched The Kirk Cameron Show with his son James, featuring devotionals, cultural conversations, and biblical perspectives on modern life. Kirk and his family live in Tennessee, where faith and family remain at the center of his mission.

  • Beyond Body Image: Understanding Eating Disorders with Dr. Deena Muno | Ep. 38
    Oct 15 2025

Behind every eating disorder is a story far more complex than we realize, and today we’re uncovering what’s really going on.

Bethany and Adam sit down with Dr. Deena Muno, a clinical psychologist who works with some of the most severe cases of eating disorders in hospital settings as well as through her private practice.

Deena shares from her years of experience walking with patients whose lives are at risk due to restrictive eating, and she helps us understand that eating disorders are not just about body image; they are layered, complex, and deeply tied to neurobiology, personality traits, family systems, and cultural pressures like social media.

Together, Bethany and Deena talk about:

    • The hidden dangers of eating disorders and how they affect the brain, heart, and every system in the body
    • The role of personality traits and neurobiology in anorexia and ARFID
    • How family dynamics and cultural influences shape our relationship with food and our bodies
    • The importance of early intervention for parents and friends who are concerned
    • Practical ways to love, support, and walk alongside someone who is struggling
    • Why faith, community, and professional tools all play a role in recovery

    Guest Bio:

Dr. Deena Muno is a clinical psychologist specializing in eating disorders. She works on an inpatient hospital unit where patients receive medical stabilization for severe cases of anorexia and ARFID, and she also runs a private practice serving clients of all ages. With a background in psychology and a personal passion for holistic health, she bridges the science of neurobiology with compassion for the whole person. Deena and her husband, a grass-fed rancher, often engage in holistic conversations about food, family, and wellness. She is also a wife, mom of two young children, and an advocate for helping people rediscover purpose and freedom in life.

This came at a good point in my life. Being surrounded by negative stories from those with disabilities, I needed some positivity and authenticity. Some days I struggle with my disabilities, and these episodes reminded me not to give up, even when it seems impossible.
