On 21 July, 2024, President Joseph R. Biden bowed out of the US presidential campaign and Vice President Kamala Harris stepped in. She had 107 days to mount a campaign, meet American citizens from coast-to-coast, debate, raise money (those fundraising Zooms were epic), and convince voters to elect her on November 5. The morning of the election in the States, I called a colleague and told her how emotional I felt. I couldn’t quite pinpoint if I was overwhelmingly happy that a Black woman was potentially going to call the White House home, or that she got this far. Now, 24 September, 2025, will be just as significant for me, since it’s when I will listen to Harris narrate her political memoir. It will undoubtedly lodge somewhere in my psyche forever. What a riveting piece of work. Undeniable that the We Won't Go Back campaign inspired a whole generation! 2028 can't come sooner #Kamala Project 2028 must be defeated! This book does bring some semblance of closure on the brief and failed Triumph of Trump and Project 2025 because the way this is going I am rest assure this will not end well! Hate can't win in America We the People won't be defeated or subverted as an election our voice will be heard go for it @Kamala. Frustrated, angry, saddened, p*****, shocked, grateful. These are just some of my feelings after reading this book. I am hopeful. I too, live in the state of California. Born and raised here. I am proud of Kamala Harris' leadership and for her work in writing this book. I encourage you to read this book. Then pass it on and share it with as many friends and family that you can. Let them read and learn and come to their own conclusions as they find hope and courage to move forward in their lives.

Kamala Harris is as honest and decent as any politician EVER. She still stands as a brilliant, competent and compassionate leader. This book relays her experiences as she struggles to go against such a high probability of loss to a man that has no decency, integrity and will steamroll over anyone getting in the way of his endless need for money and power. Now our country has to try to dig our way out of the deranged mess that the felon is creating.

I thoroughly enjoyed listening to this book. I wanted to hear her tell her story in her own words and to listen to the compassion and insight I grew to admire during the campaign. Every day since January 20th has been a nightmare, every single day. I can’t even listen to the news anymore because it’s overwhelming to see how fast democracy is slipping away. She won’t say it, but we all think it, she told us so. All of it. No surprises, just deep disappointment. I’m so glad I can say I voted for the right person. Even when she lost, she thought of the country, not herself. I cried all over again hearing her relive the election results. History has its eyes on us, glad her account will be available as they access what happened before the fall.
