This was such a beautiful audiobook that really helped remind me of what I came here to do; Embody my unique soul and embrace the burning fire of my creative heart... so many valuable nuggets of wisdom and inspiring stories within this audiobook. It feels like she is talking directly to the listener and makes for an intimate, authentic experience. I enjoyed this type of performance, but it may not be for everyone so it's important to keep this in mind when buying it. Overall, I highly recommend this book for anyone who wants to deepen their connection with their soul.

This book is like nothing else you've heard. I adore Clarissa's work so I supposed I am a bit biased. Her voice is like none other, I am so glad she reads her own work, no one else could do it justice.

This book will caress you, soothe you like a balm, hold you, steady you, support you, expand you, surround you. It tells tales that are poignant - but never defeated. You walk taller after listening to it, begin to imagine you are a poet, seeing beauty everywhere you look.

This book "mothered" me in a way I have not truly experienced in this life. I could not be more grateful for the experience, it will be a treasured book I will listen to over and over.

having read many of this author's books, a few of them much more often than once, I have been witness to her style of kindness and unwavering presence of mind. this title, Mother Night is no exception. Dr Estes' qualities for story telling while gently embracing the psyche of her listener gives a sense of deep personal attention to one's very own life experience. perhaps resulting in stoking the fires of one's own solid (and yet humbly modeled by the author's) deep sense for personal courage.

Dr. Clarissa Pinkola Estes is an amazing storyteller and narrator. Her voice is so soothing for your ears and soul. I have a hard time finding books narrated by women. I notice how much I am bombarded by men's voices and am glad to always find a stellar book by CPE. If you like this book you might also like Braiding Sweetgrass.
