Soul stirring, spirit soothing

Every breath, every word that Clarissa shares here is soaked and dripping with soul. Her voice, stories, cadence and tone gently quicken the listeners body to open to another way of listening: listening with the full body. So the experience isn’t just taking in information. The experience is like sitting around a fire with a wizened elder and receiving a transmission from their life. I am forever grateful for this body of work, for Dr Estes’ devotion to the art of storytelling, and for this ancient way of orally passing down stories from one generation to another. Another gem

I love Dr. Estés audiobooks. My daughter, 10, even gets quiet and listens because she says her voice is comforting and she likes the stories. So much validation as a woman and person, for that matter, of how to love being alive in our body and making peace with everything we encounter and how we carry ourselves.
