In this “explosive” (Us Weekly) and “brutally honest” (E! Online) memoir, Jodie Sweetin, once Danny Tanner’s bubbly daughter on America’s favorite family sitcom, takes listeners behind the scenes of Full House and into her terrifying—and uplifting—real-life story of addiction and recovery.

How rude!

Jodie Sweetin melted our hearts and made us laugh for eight years as cherub-faced, goody-two-shoes middle child Stephanie Tanner. Her ups and downs seemed not so different from our own, but more than a decade after the popular television show ended, the star publicly revealed her shocking recovery from methamphetamine addiction. Even then, she kept a painful secret—one that could not be solved in thirty minutes with a hug, a stern talking-to, or a bowl of ice cream around the family table. The harrowing battle she swore she had won was really just beginning.

In this deeply personal, utterly raw, and ultimately inspiring memoir, Jodie comes clean about the double life she led—the crippling identity crisis, the hidden anguish of juggling a regular childhood with her Hollywood life, and the vicious cycle of abuse and recovery that led to a relapse even as she wrote this book. Finally, becoming a mother gave her the determination and the courage to get sober. With resilience, charm, and humor, she writes candidly about taking each day at a time. Hers is not a story of success or defeat, but of facing your demons, finding yourself, and telling the whole truth—unSweetined.

Hearing what Stephanie, I mean Jodie had gone through and done was eye opening and also heartbreaking. It was nice to hear the truth behind who she really was/is. It took courage and strength to write the book; let alone read it for our pleasure. I will say hearing it from Jodie herself was definitely a bonus and gave the story that much more feeling and emotion that made your heart break more.

This makes me realize that addiction can be one of the hardest things to break. It is truly important to tell others how you feel.

I've always considered Stephanie my favorite Tanner family member. partly because we are the same age, also because we were very similarly tempered and goofy. Finally being able to hear her memoir and in her own words with her own voice. Now I think maybe I connected far more with Jodi and less with Stephanie Tanner. Jodi gives a clear yet heavy accounts of her childhood, her mother who gave her to her adoptive parents, Full House behind the scenes and her costars and her relationship after the show. Her bumpy road to recovery and sobriety. Finally her life as a Mom, divorce and working actress and comedienne. This book is an excellent audiobook wether you are a Stephanie Tanner fan or someone looking for an honest and accountable story that most people will find helpful or highly entertaining either way.

Jodi has a very present and rasp effect that lends it the credibility a book like this requires to truly appreciate it

I loved Jodie’s how Jodie shared her story and wasn’t afraid to be open and honest about her addiction journey. If anyone has gone through addiction like I have and came out on the other side I can relate. Vulnerable, raw, and honest, loved it.

Her incredible recovery story battling addiction Can relate and it was raw and true!!!!

I liked how truthful she was, even the ugly stuff she went through. This shows the true struggles of addiction very well.
