Dattatreya, also known as Datta Guru or Adi Guru, is a revered deity. considered an incarnation of the divine trinity (Brahma, Vishnu, and Shiva), embodying creation, preservation, and destruction. He is seen as a paradigmatic Sannyasi (monk) and a lord of yoga, often depicted with three heads and a bag, representing his ascetic nature. A book about Sri Dattatreya, Adi Guru and his main storas, has already been published. There were some requests to write a book on Sri Dattatreya Sahasnamam, detailing the meanings and inner tattvas and hence this book. Having written commentaries on Lalita Sahasranamam, Gayatri Sahasranamam, Surya Sahasranamam, Lalita Trishati, Rudra Trishati and all, now an attempt has been made to write commentary on Sri Dattatreya Sahasranamam.
