Publisher's Summary

It's barely a few months since the shambling dead began to rise. Now nine people are trapped in an English country house together by the zombie horde outside. There's a journalist, a student, a professor, a surgeon, a housekeeper, a math teacher, a bank clerk, a taciturn Scotswoman, and a celebrity actor. They're strangers to each other. There'd be no reason for any of them to harm the others. And yet...before their first night in the house is done, one of them will be dead, and it will be clear to the others that among their number is a murderer.

Set in the universe of the worldwide best-selling app Zombies, Run!, this is a murder mystery like no other. Why would anyone still want to kill a fellow human, even after the zombie apocalypse? And having started, how can they be stopped? The desire for vengeance, after all, is the way of all flesh.

Excellent story of ZR!

Being a huge fan of Zombies, Run! And basically running nearly every day to listen to the missions, I was extremely excited to stumble onto this audio book!

The story was entertaining and engaging (who doesn’t love a “who dunnit?”) and the performances were amazing as usual! (I don’t expect anything less from Sts. You’re all just that good!)

I love how this is its own story, but still somewhat ties into the overall story of ZR. It just shows how great the writing is. And it was nice to hear more from Chris McShell and Jody Marsh!

Love Love Love

I have repeatedly listened to this story and it never gets old. I hope they are going to make a second one.

Great story to start running!

This story, a combination of a zombie apocalypse and a classic detective murder, from the makers of the fitness app Zombies Run!, brings you in the mood to work on your condition. You better start running...

Not to be missed if you love the app

What made the experience of listening to Zombies, Run!: The Way of All Flesh the most enjoyable?

hearing the voices of the characters from the app, and getting a whole other adventure with them was lovely

Which character – as performed by full cast – was your favorite?

Sam is forever my love, but Jodie?runner 3? the main chick from able was super good and she made me smile alot

Any additional comments?

an engaging story and an interesting change to hear it on a car trip instead of while running. would be interested in other audiobooks of zombies run, though of course i'll be back and running with the app within days.

Terrible acting

The idea here was good, a murder mystery during a zombie apocalypse, but the acting seems terrible. I think it's supposed to be a bit melodramatic, but it comes off like the panto without the funny bits. Podcasts like Homecoming show you can make an intimate, poignant audio drama work, and Capital shows you can make a very funny one work. But this did neither. (mild spoiler) And the conceipt of everything having to be narrated because one of the characters was blinded was so heavy handed, it didn't work at all. I like naomi alderman but this fell completely flat. But I suppose she wasn't responsible for the abominable acting and direction here. Only if you must.

Gripping

Like the regular zombies run app, I listened to this while on the treadmill and the time flew by. It's extremely well written and had me trying to guess who done it all the time, changing my mind and accusing someone else. It obviously takes its motivation from Agatha Christie crime thrillers and quite easily sits in the same library.

The acting does seem a little amateur at times, but using a small company as six to start this is to be expected and doesn't detract too much from what is an otherwise amazing product.
Highly recommended

Murder Mystery in Zombie Apocalypse

This was an okay Murder Mystery set during the zombie apocalypse. I found a couple of the cast voices annoying, but it was enjoyable overall.

boring

a very short audible book confusing and the overall performance by the actors was good some of the accents weren't great but the considerable amount of cassette to-ing and fro-ing was very annoying I found it boring and it had such a promising title
