What would have made Zero Hour better?

I love the story line but come on, we know the characters, you could of cut 8 hours off and had a better story.

What could Craig Alanson have done to make this a more enjoyable book for you?

story line cut to the last 6 hours and go forward.

I will continue to listen to the story but come on at this point we know everything we need to know just write a better story.

Forced Continuity, I Think a Ghostwriter Could

do as well.
You know how a girl breaking up with a guy will say, "It's not you, it's me." Well I seriously think the author is bored with this, but likes the money too much. It is you, cuz it sure ain't me. Skippy deserves better, maybe it's time to get Bishop laid.

Maybe my favorite yet

I love them all, but I breezed through this one with a huge smile on my face. For starters, R.C. Bray performs this book flawlessly. He's so friggin' good. Boggles the mind of us mere monkeys. He is perfect for Craig Alanson's story. Especially for the way he performs Skippy in total awesomeness. Bray does a fantastic job on everything he narrates, but he truly is a perfect for Alanson's Expeditionary Force characters.

This installment in the series moved rapidly, for the most part. Some of the reviews say they'd like more character development. I think the main characters are getting developed well. The secondary ones, perhaps less so. I thought Colonel Joe was finally going to have a love interest. Alanson has teased us with that possibility before. By the end of this book, though, it still hadn't happened! Come on, Craig, let the guy get his rocks off. I mean, even Chocula gets some. I think perhaps Craig wants to focus on the growing "love" affair between Joe and the Beer Can. Brotherly love. Nothing kinky. Although if Alanson doesn't hook him up with someone soon, that Beer Can better look out. Seriously, though, can you really imagine Joe without Skippy or Skippy without Joe? Still, Joe deserves to get laid :).

Like everyone else, I'm eager for the next part of the saga. I'll pre-order as soon as it's available.

For those coming to the series new, don't start with this one. Start at the beginning. You'll be glad you did.

Stories are starting to show its age

The banter is starting to feel repetitive and while I still enjoy the twists, there is a strong feeling of been there and done that. Not sure I’m boarding the next pirate ship voyage.

Walking the well-worn path

I still am overall having fun with this series. The interactions between Joe and Skippy never get old. That is a good thing, because that really is all this series has become. The team gets stuck in some impossible situation, Joe dreams up a crazy solution, Skippy gets mad and then implements the solution. Rinse and repeat. While the situations they find themselves in are always unique, the path to resolution is always the same. So much so that the dialogue becomes incredibly repetitive and predictable. I keep waiting for there to actually be real stakes and consequences, or some of the larger mysteries they have touched on to come more into focus. Maybe the next book will finally get back to the excitement of the first couple novels.

Slowing down..

Its a good book but it keeps slowing down. Story content seems to be stalling and where many events used to happend. Now the book only focus on 1 which if you ask me is definitely an overkill. If you expect to see the story moved along you will be disappointed

Repetitive at times but great addition

Repetitive at times but great addition to the series, the middle dragged out too much but picked up toward the end. Could also use some more character development. RC Bray is an amazing narrator and the reason I started this series.

originality of the first books is continued in this one really a pleasure to listen to. I've been able to share the series with many people so far and everyone loves it

Very well done. Humor, crass jokes, merriment and excitement. Enjoyable!e and entertaing. Kept me up listening.

So many funny moments

I want to quote the funny moments in this book but there's too many and I'd rather not spoil anything. So I'm just going to say, buy this book or audiobook. Because... Trust The Awesomeness.
